I see he's ditched his faux-American twang for his natural Nottingham accent, as well as going in a much rockier direction. Not bad on first listen, but I guess it'll take a few listens to really click.

Sounds good on first listen. As a general rule, I hate faux-American accents so I'm glad he has reverted to pure Nottingham. Just a few more weeks before I see him in Bournemouth :cheer:

Agreed, not bad on first listen, but I can tell straightaway that it will be a grower. He got some great guitar work going on in that too!

Really liking the hook on first listen, the overall song should be able to grow on repeat plays. Love his debut album.

Just got back from seeing him in Bournemouth tonight. Plenty of material from his new album which sounds very promising. He still doesn't have much to say for himself between songs apart from the odd 'Thank you very, very much". The closest he got to something vaguely personal was when he said "I never thought I'd play in a room this big" (BiC capacity - 6,500 and almost full tonight) as he left the stage after finishing, inevitably, with Lightning Bolt.

had a quick listen to some of the album this morning, sounds great
