New network comedy is in a diabolical state. How hard is it to write something funny? Even "Trophy Wife" this week was just enjoyable, not laugh out loud. What happened to all the funny writers?

NBC have to be trolling us with these "Chicago Fire" figures. I love that they're the unlikely success story of this season so far. "The Voice" has saved them from death.

I would be happy for them if it wasn't for the fact Chicago Fire looks mind bogglingly abysmal (I watched 2 episode and wanted to kill myself)

Big Bang aside Comedy in general seems to have taken a massive hit this year, even returning comedies like New Girl, 2 Broke Girls and Modern Family are struggling this year.

At the rate Fox Tuesday is going Glee will be shipped in to take the 8pm hour and Almost Human, Sleepy Hollow and Bones redistributed between Monday and Thursday 9pm.

I'd kind of love to see just how low it'll actually go. Though I'm sure Nikita will provide much more JOLITY when it eventually reaches the hallowed 0.0

Nikita will be coming for a Breaking Bad-esque final season thank you. :drink:

4.2 Modern Family

3.2 Super Fun Night

2.7 Criminal Minds

2.6 Survivor

2.4 The X Factor

2.2 The Middle

2.1 CSI

2.0 Law & Order SVU

1.9 Nashville

1.8 Back In The Game

1.5 Revolution

1.4 Ironside

Surprised Super Fun Night did so well (even with the (incompatible) lead-in which I thought would be a tad smaller), thought the critics hating on it would put people off and didn't have a good feeling with all the other bad comedy numbers we've had recently. Still to watch it though, hoping it isn't as terrible as made out as I love Rebel. :(

"Revolution" axed before Christmas for sure. Utterly HORRIBLE debut for "Ironside" - will it even be on air in two weeks time?

JESUS at Ironside, that's abysmal. Won't be bothering with it either. Not too worried for Revolution as long as it doesn't take another drop next week (which it probably will).

Best thing NBC could do with "Revolution" is move it to Fridays as a companion to "Grimm". At least there if it managed to level at a 1.2 it wouldn't be pulled before the season is out. And that's perfect because then they can move "Dracula" and "Crossbones" (ie. their two most promising new dramas still to premiere) OUT of their bizarre Friday night death slots to somewhere more suitable on the schedule.

I knew I couldn't be bothered with Ironside. It looked so damn cheesy and shit.

Revolution UP to a 1.6, Ironside DOWN to a 1.3

Survivor also up to a 2.7, The Middle a 2.3 and Back In The Game a 1.9.

Well Dracula seems like a natural fit with Grimm and I think it'll thrive on Friday's.

"Dracula" looks not too dissimilar from "Sleepy Hollow" in some ways and it's clearly big budget with a big name lead star - how could it possibly "thrive" on a Friday? It would be getting 2.0s at a maximum. A show with so much going for it needs to be airing in the week where it could go north of a 3.0 and maybe help revive Wednesdays/Thursdays.

We we shall see, but I don't think it was ever going to be HUGE (though I thought the same for Sleepy Hollow) and airing it with something like Grimm which is stylistically and thematically similar makes a large amount of sense to me. Plus a 2.0 on a Friday would be great, but I don't think it's destined for those kind of numbers no matter when it airs. (oh and I would classify Grimm as thriving on a Friday, so we just have different viewpoints on this, as with everything I would imagine)

I do think "Grimm" is a legit hit, I just don't think Friday is the right place for a show with a big name lead star like JRM, and especially not for "Crossbones". You don't score JOHN MALKOVICH and then shunt him to the night when barely anyone watches television.
