October 23, 201311 yr There is a reason that they aren't doing signings - who'd want an album signed by only four Saturdays out of five? For some reason my signed Notorious single isn't signed by Nessa, and it feels really blank without hers. Besides, it's not rare for an artist to debut high and fall lots in its second week. Some artists debut higher than The Sats have and fall even further so it's not done too badly, and surely this is what was expected?

Frankie could have signed some sleeves ages ago, and the other girls could add their signatures. I'm sure most fans would still jump at the chance to meet four of the girls. It's better than doing nothing. They don't even bother trying to use Twitter or Facebook to promote themselves any more. They could try get something trending, start competitions, Q&A's etc just anything to create a bit of buzz.

"Living for The Weekend out NOW" "Disco Love out NOW"
October 23, 201311 yr I just hope the next studio album (assuming there is going to be one) is recorded before the first single is decided, although one could say thats what they had aimed for with this album. I hope this remains in the top 100 through Xmas, somehow.
October 23, 201311 yr When I met the girls in 2010 I only got to speak to Una, Frankie and Mollie very briefly and get them to sign a photo for me - didn't even get time to see Vanessa and Rochelle or get them to sign my photo (but I did get a kiss off Frankie. Made a LOT of my guy friends jealous after that! They all smelt gorgeous but Frankie. WOW...I'll digress). Admittedly we were being herded in and out to see them before their show in groups of about 6 at a time. It's always more difficult meeting a group than it is a solo artist. With Olly Murs' signings he's always stood up and has a chat and photo with everyone - I mean there's only one of him so of course it's easier. But as long as I've met them that's the main thing, however brief it was. Had a nice photo with them too which is in a frame on my dresser in my bedroom :) Off topic a bit further...how AMAZING was their Live Lounge cover yesterday? It was brilliant, vocally and with the choice of songs. I hope it's the B-side for the next single! Edited October 23, 201311 yr by ThePensmith
October 23, 201311 yr lol 5.000 at #34, no, maybe 2.5k Alright, calm down, thats been said twice, there's no need to continue that.. And at least it's not as bad as OYR or Wordshaker Edited October 23, 201311 yr by vivek
October 24, 201311 yr How the album does is still a sign of how popular the girls are, that's just a stupid thing to say.
October 24, 201311 yr The album is as popular as Wordshaker was in 2009, sales are just lower in 2013.

October 25, 201311 yr Don't understand why the sales are minimal for this album. I feel this is a natural progression for the girls , from what they have been so far. What could be the reason that people go behind singles, get a taste of the girls' miusic and songs, and not care about the album. I sometimes felt, though it could be silly and we should not go judging books by the cover - The album cover could have been much more visibly attractive , colorful, with a nice theme, which could possibly gain viewers attention on shelves + iTunes. On another note, the management team would have thought the amazing promo for DiscoLove could automatically, act as promo for LFTW too. Hence they didn't go for further promo during album release week.Apart from Google+ for international fans, they could have chosen local MTV for launch of their album with viewers call-in (though there is cost factor). They should possibly do a radio tour within UK/Ireland atleast over phone, playing album and acoustic samplers. This should definitely help a bit on album sales and charting. October 25, 201311 yr Promo isretty essential for an album unfortunately. I do think Frankie's pregnancy has given them a BIG disadvantage as they couldn't do a cd signing without her which does bug me
October 25, 201311 yr I still think they wasted a big opportunity when they didn't push What About Us internationally. Some radios played it a few times, but it didn't make any significant playlist. Higher and All Fired Up recieved a lot of attention in the continent. They didn't push the first one because they were engaging on the next era already, which would set an important departure in their sound. And the latter simply wasn't as succesful as they had hoped, so there was no reason to push it anywhere. But What About Us did meet all the requirements: it was released early in the campaign AND it was a proper hit. They didn't even need to go on tour over the continent; even novel artists get playlisted in most countries before they've made any promotion there, aside from sending the song and a press release. All of this to say that if they still want to be profitable and to do some business overseas the only option is to release Not Giving Up. They can easily take the spot of the 'Rihanna dance track in the fall' and appeal to the same public. And the fact that they are a group can be distinctive enough not to seem like a ripoff. October 25, 201311 yr I don't think The Saturdays' are really bothered about smashing internationally(too much hard work), I honestly believe there content with how things are going for themselves now.
October 25, 201311 yr I think their next single (if their is one) will basically tell us what they think is important. They clearly want to go for 'Leave A Light On' for no reason other than that it's a Jam track, has emotional lyrics and is a ballad. Never mind the fact it won't do anything on radio and could potentially flop hard (maybe even miss the top 40) and has no chance of being a big hit single, as long as the girls like it and think it's cute then it's worthy of a single. They might be bored of 'Not Giving Up' since it was recorded ages ago and they're probably well over it now, but there's a demand for it. They have a choice between demand and personal feelings. 'Not Giving Up' is more likely to be a hit single, more likely to keep them relevant with radio and more likely to attract a male/general audience than 'Leave A Light On'. The choice should be simple but I really think they'll just push 'Leave A Light On'. :( And as for the international stuff, I really do think they could be big in America. People laugh and say they're flops here and they'd bomb in the US and use their reality show as an example of that but I think they have a chance. What About Us almost broke the top 100 after their first TV performance of it, Chasing The Saturdays went to #33 or something on the iTunes chart even though it was an EP that consisted of songs that had been on the internet for years and this album went to #98 on iTunes there with absolutely nothing to promote it. They have an American image, they're very commercial and it saddens me that they will never reach their potential because they give up on things far too easy.
