November 22, 201311 yr I'd love a NGU release then an album re-release with 3 or more new tracks with a new single, then onto album 5.
November 22, 201311 yr I wouldn't be surprised if they release did a re-release. I know they've got multiple tracks that never made the album, so I wouldn't be surprised if they're on the re-release. If these tracks didn't made the album, there was a reason for it. They probably couldn't afford any more mixing, music rights, etc. I wonder how will they get out of this tricky situation. I don't know if they can spend more money on this album. It might be too late. Maybe the album can't be saved anymore... But then I wonder if they can truly start a new album/campaign?
November 22, 201311 yr I wont be surprised if there won't be another studio album. A Greatest Hits in September 2014 will probably be next
November 22, 201311 yr They need to be making money from SOMETHING surely. On Your Radar bombed and most successful single of that era only sold about 220K. 30 Days was a flop, What About Us was a big #1 but hasn't even went Gold yet, Gentleman flopped, Disco Love was a minor hit and Living For The Weekend has flopped. Where will they get the money from to make ANOTHER album and promote singles on TV shows etc? Not to mention their TV show was a disaster in the US (although it was a big success here). If they can't afford the best songs for this album, how can they possibly afford a whole new campaign?
November 23, 201311 yr Just saw in their newsletter that they're planning a new single for next year.
November 23, 201311 yr Looks like Not Giving Up is not going to be released. I would say they managed to make a decent amount of money from ' What About Us ' I'm sure it must have sold around 500,000+ worldwide, although the whole ' What About Us ' campaign was paid by E! in the USA.
November 23, 201311 yr That's what I assumed too. That it would be Not Giving Up for a January release.
November 23, 201311 yr Usually if they're talking about a non-album single they would say "brand new single", I'm thinking it's Not Giving Up too.
November 23, 201311 yr Mollie put that all 5 of them had met up to discuss the next single and the tour for next year. If it was a new song, surely they'd put new single instead of next single? If the tour is going to be early next year then surely it will be the 'Living For The Weekend' tour?
November 23, 201311 yr I think the new single is going to be Leave A Light On :( they did an acoustic of it and no other album tracks.

If the tour is going to be early next year then surely it will be the 'Living For The Weekend' tour? The tour won't happen before like April (they said February was too early when asked about it). They will probably release a single near the end of January or early February which would do nothing for the album. It's going to be out of the top 1000000000 by then. And I'm thinking more and more about Leave A Light On as a single. They said they had met up to talk about it. I find it hard to believe they would meet up and talk about it if the label was the one who chose which track is going to be. I mean, what do you want them to discuss about that need a meet up if the single is already chosen? No, see, I believe the girls were the one to choose. And I can definitely see Una and Rochelle wanting Leave A Light On and fight hard for it. Vanessa and Frankie would be too shy to say they don't want it and Mollie would probably go with "Anywhere With You" because of Jordan, letting to Leave A Light On's victory.
November 23, 201311 yr I think they did the accoustic to see the reaction they'd get. I'm happy with either or at this point.
November 23, 201311 yr But, I mean, come on. Let's pretend Leave A Light On is a good ballad that boost album sales...They will probably release it in February. The album will be long gone by then. Yeah surely it will gives an extra boost, probably 10k, but that's it. Is it really worth a new video, promotion and all? Let's not forget it doesn't sound like a song that will get to the top 10, nor does it sound like a song that will get lots of airplay by radios (remember that Gentleman only went to like #33 and Disco Love to #23 and they were far more catchy and radio-friendly). That's why Not Giving Up is the best option. They will end the era on a boom because it's an amazing song. The tour would probably be named after the single and "The Not Giving Up Tour" sounds much better than "The Leave A Light On Tour". It's incredibly catchy and infectious which means it would probably get more airplay than Leave A Light On, but more importantly, it will probably chart at #10 even if it helps the album selling or not. The good thing is that when they will release their next single of the next campaign, the radios will look to the top 10 single Not Giving Up that went like #18 on radio airplay and not Leave A Light that missed both the top 25 airplay/official, which will result in better support. The new campaign will start off on a better ground because of Not Giving Up.
November 23, 201311 yr We don't know that for defo. Leave A Light On is not a bad song. It's a really nice ballad. More commercial than MHTO and will most likely do better. I do agree however that if they released NGU it would probably do better but I don't necessarily think it would help the album anymore than LALO!
November 23, 201311 yr Leave A Light On is a nice song and I've played it loads, but it pales in comparison to Not Giving Up, end of story. Leave A Light On is too much of a risk right now, and let's recall what happened the last time they decided to take a risk... Also, just because LALO is a ballad doesn't mean it will help the album any more than NGU. Quite the opposite actually. The people who take to LALO aren't going to connect with the album because the rest of the album has a totally different sound. At least NGU fits in and is an accurate representation of what the album sounds like. Edited November 23, 201311 yr by LoveKiller
November 24, 201311 yr Not releasing "Not Giving Up" as the next single would be a terrible mistake. This song has smash written all over it. And I hope this tour makes it's way to North America. Especially since they've never visited Canada. Edited November 24, 201311 yr by Jevito

Oh I agree and that was not my point. :P I don't even believe Not Giving Up will help the album. Although, I believe Not Giving Up will help to boost up a bit their airplay. It could be another minor hit for them, whereas Leave A Light On might help shift a few copies of the album, but it will never be a hit on its own and it might kill their airplay which is something they must avoid if they want the first single of their next campaign to be successful in that area. The album is dead in my opinion. Instead of trying to save it, they should try to have another hit single which is what they are known for.

Una said on twitter on Friday ' Not Giving Up ' was her favourite track from ' Living For The Weekend'.
