According to the TV show 'Pointless' the least well known Saturdays songs are Notorious, My Heart Takes Over and Missing You.

Oh, when was this on?

Oh, when was this on?

Today!

The final was Girl Bands (chosen by 2 straight males) and it was Top 40 UK hits for Sugababes, Atomic Kitten and The Saturdays. Shockingly only those three stated were the pointless ones for The Sats, Atomic Kitten had 6 or 7 and Sugababes about 5. (Two of the three from Sweet 7 OUCH)

Poor Notorious, it's their best song!

I agree about Missing You, though.

Notorious is awesome but it is a pretty forgotten hit. It just sort of came and went within a few weeks due to the OA/OS thing. Missing You was the most played song in the country for two weeks so i'm surprised it's been forgotten so much. :o How did people remember 30 Days and Work and not that?!

Funny, I didn't think about 30 Days which means it should have been there. Maybe because it's recent? ... Erm, I don't know, it doesn't sound like a good enough reason.

I don't think Work is necessary a song people have forgotten. First, they sing that one a lot more than they do Missing You, for example, and it did manage to sell around 115k even though it was the fifth single of a +300k selling album. It just means people who liked the single probably already had the album or were going to buy it (thus, getting 'Work' and the other 11 tracks).

It's still rather amusing that despite being the fifth single and sales being a lot lower, ' Work ' has managed to outsell ' 30 Days ' and ' Gentleman '.

I'm surprised people remember Forever Is Over more than Missing You, Notorious & My Heart Takes Over.

Okay but was this the opinion of the two guys on the show or the general public? I find it hard to believe that Missing You would make that list. #1 on airplay for two weeks, tons of promo, Silver certification, and third most viewed Sats video on Youtube...

It was the survey results.

For non UK fans reading this, basically it's an evening quiz show on TV where contestants have to guess the least popular answers from certain categories. The gist of the show is that it's not good enough just naming a correct answer, it needs to be one that NOBODY else has said (you can't win the prize money unless you pick something nobody from the survey said).

So obviously if the question was 'okay we done a survey on The Saturdays top 40 singles. You've got 30 seconds to choose one you think is a pointless answer' you'd choose something like 30 Days and not What About Us. The guys had to pick three answers from this category (also involving Sugababes and Atomic Kitten's top 40 singles) in the hope of winning the money and said Overload (which one person knew), Whole Again and Round Roud. None were pointless and it wad revealed that along with Wear My Kiss, About A Girl and a couple of other Sugababes/Atomic Kitten songs, nobody mentioned those three Sats songs at all.

Poor forgotten Notorious!! One of the groups shining moments imo!!
Not Work, their lowest peaking single remaining relevant 4 year later... Cause if there's a ray of light in this etc.
So would have nailed that!

Clearly the ray of light was shut out as My Heart Takes Over was pointless haha.

Also I always forget how annoyingly similar the opening bars of Little Mix's Change Your Life are to the opening of Here Standing.

I never even noticed until this Moment now that I read this. Thanks :drink: :P

Haha.

OMG I was totally thinking this a while back.

Here standing seems to be a rip off from Jordin sparks - No air

Work used to be played so much on reality shows such as britains got talent, bipritains next top model, big brother. Etc.

it was also played a fair amount on radios such as capital and they promoted it a lot. Notorious was barely played by radio and the only form of promotion it had was tv. Work has been played a numerous of times on radios (regardless of them being small stations) after it's release. Notorious died after two weeks although it got sales
