Disco Love

[Entry: 13/10/13] 05-14-30-31-40-50-83-123-Still In Chart

Sales to date are around 115.5k.

I think that currently makes it their 12th best selling single out of 16. 'If This Is Love' was on 115,000 in December 2011, so presumably it'll be a little higher than that after 2 years and is in 11th position. I'm not sure how much 'Work' might be on these days... I guesstimated that it was on 105,000 a couple of years ago.

I just realised, we've never seen Frankie perform Disco Love :(

It will happen and she will "sh sh sh sh shake" and it will be good.

I can't wait for the :

Any midweeks for Disco Love today?

Currently #171.

It's currently selling more than anything up to #150 though. I expect that it will climb to around #160 this week!

I think it's kind of cool that this has charted in both Slovakia and Hungary. Granted they're airplay charts, but still. What About Us and Just Can't Get Enough are their only other songs to have charted in two or more countries outside of the UK/Ireland/Scotland.

Is there any chance Disco Love will have sold 1/2k this week?

I think it's totally possible. If What About Us is set to sell 4-5k around #150, then I can see Disco Love selling at least 1-2k at #200-250 (with the two versions combined).

Up to #8 on Hungarian airplay. I'd say that's quite major as Hungary has twice the population of New Zealand.

That is quite amazing and at the New Years party last night I made a playlist to play the music videos (MUZU.TV) on the big TV in my boyfriends lounge with lots of hi-spec (just to sound like I know what I'm talking about) speakers and I have lots of Hungarian friends and they all knew and danced to What About Us and a couple knew Disco Love, but everyone loved Disco Love! Unfortunately WAU and DL were the only Sats songs I played because I needed to satisfy everyone... I'm the only English person within my friends where I live, the rest are Hunagrian, Slovakian, Polish, Spanish, Italian, Czech, German, Portuguese, French, Dutch... blahblahblah, but they went down really well so that's good with such a wide range of nationalities!

EDIT: My conclusion from the reaction was that the girls are biggest in Hungary and Slovakia.

In the uk? They left it too late to reduce the price with both singles and the albums!! However if they'd discounted them while each of them was still top 50/100 then I'm sure the effect would have been major.

EDIT: I forgot they did do it with Disco Love didn't they, but they NOW! version ofset the climb I think?

Wasn't Notorious added straight to the featured 59p section?

I just turned on Radio 1 and Disco Love is on. I'm shocked at how much Radio 1 has supported this song. They've been playing it once or twice a day for the past two weeks as if it's on their C list. They should have A listed it for it's release if they like it this much.

'Disco Love' re-entered at #194 on Sunday.
