Calm before the storm I imagine. They usually get really quiet shortly before big announcements. Want to hit us so hard out of nowhere... ^_^

I bet the next mailer is something like "And stay tuned for the announcement of our brand new single coming SOON".

Hate having to wait around though. :(

Little mix announced Little Me before Move was even out of the Top 10. Just seems to be such a wait between every single.

Tbf, Little Mix were in a much stronger position to release a post-album single at the end of Q4. The Saturdays needed to wait until Q1, although it is now Q1 so perfect time to announce the single and get airplay going.

I wonder if iTunes only allow it to be reduced for so long? I'm sure they won't allow it to be £4.99 permanently.

Yes, everything with the Sats is SOON. I heard the single is due for release on the 2nd of March? That was from someone's Twitter, it's do-able. I feel as if the video should have already been shot though?

Yeah we posted the link on here cause we found it on the Internet as well. I hope that it really is not giving up!!' :D
Considering they will need a 6 weeks build-up to the release, 2nd March doesn't sound that impossible indeed.
I thought March 2nd was too late at first, but they are longing this out a little too much. I'm getting worried.
Didn't they film Disco Love in July and then the video was released August sort of time, right? Plenty of time to shoot the video if the release is March?

Disco Love at 242 & 484

It was about 404 & 445 this time last week and was roughly the same all week (until Saturday when it climbed) and charted at #168 at the end of the week, so are we looking at a climb, maybe back into the top #150 this week?

If it can maintain this position on iTunes then I don't see why not. Would be great if it got added to the 59p section. Imagine if it did eventually get to 150k

Last time I mention the 59p section unless it actually happens but I think the song would benefit greatly from it and would easily go into the top 100 on iTunes for a few weeks.

Hadn't Disco Love been added previously?

Never. And if they'd added it the week they reduced the price, it would have probably gone back into the top 40.

As much as I love Not Giving Up, I know exactly how this is going to go.

01. They will announce it, we will all be happy, like "YASSSS OMG NEXT #1 COMIN THROUGH! THEM SATS R GONNA SLAY UR FAVES !!11"

02. Then they will be no news at all and it will be really boring. People will moan they can't hype for shit.

03. They will put out the video either too soon or too late and it's not going to be good because they are under budget since their latest flops, people will moan.

04. Capital will play the shit out of Not Giving Up and some people here are going to say it's going to be a success because it's being played a lot - only by Capital.

05. Radio 1, on the other hand, will C-list them one week before the song is out. People will moan they don't have enough airplay.

06. The song will be released, Radio-1 will B-list them. People will get optimistic about it as if they were going to get A-listed the week after. LOOOOL.

07. They will promote the song on Daybreak, This Morning, Loose Women, shit like that, but people will moan they don't have enough promo.

08. The song will peak at like #2 or #3 on iTunes, but will slip gradually through the week and will chart at #6 or something, but with a modest 40-50k.

09. People will be happy about a top 10 and 40-50k.

10. The song has been finally released, that means radio can finally stop playing them, because I mean, why would the girls need any longevity right? And what sells a song when the promo is over, how do people hear the song? Certainly not on radios! Radio 1 will drop them out of their playlist, same for Capital. No one will play them now that the song is finally out there properly.

11. The song will drop out of the top 10 on the second week and sell between 17-21k. People will moan their sales always halve somehow during second week and that they can't get more than one week in the top 10 as if being dropped from the big radios playlists wasn't the reason behind that.

12. So the song will drop out of the top 100 and end up selling like 100-120k.

13. People will moan.

Oops, I forgot to talk about the TV airplay that will slightly better than the radio one which will lead the optimistic ones around here that the song will be a hit.
