Well Rap God was behind them in the mids so I'd say they'll definitely keep ahead of that now. Justin won't drop behind them though, and I can't see Sail beating them either.

back up to #41 :)
Sail will have definitely overtaken them for Sunday, and Rudamental just overtaken them. I don't know what it means for the Saturdays, they've stayed stable-ish but have swapped places with lots of artists throughout the week.

#42

But #38 if you take out : Animals, The Monster, Do What U Want, You're Nobody Til Someone Loves You

It should definitely hang in the top 40 for this week. I'm worried about next week though. A single performance might not be enough.

I don't think it's got a chance next week, but I really want/hope that it survives the top 40 this week. It may be 42 (38) but songs like You Make Me and Bad Day who are behind them have probably outsold them by quite a bit already.

The performance probably won't keep them in the top 40 next week but might keep them floating in the top 200 for a good while - and keep sales consistent.

I'm hoping they manage to gain a Children In Need's slot next Friday which would almost guarantee a climb up the charts!

That would be amazing, but let's be honest, they won't.

And if they do actually manage to book one, they will perform Leave A Light On and it's way too soon considering the video and single won't be out until like January.

I wouldn't say it's too early. ' Leave A Light On ' would almost be the perfect song to perform on Children In Need and I'm sure it would be cherry picked to go top 100 on iTunes. I remember last year when Little Mix performed ' Change Your Life ' on Children's In Need during the release week of DNA.

And that song charted at #12 when it was officially released.

The Saturdays have to be more careful with their releases, they don't have the automatic backup Little Mix has.

It charted at #12 but album sales dramatically picked up and the single itself sold almost double of ' Gentleman ' and ' 30 Days ' combined. I wouldn't miss ' Leave A Light On ' being released as a Christmas / January single. I get the impression that ' Not Giving Up ' should be released in early March followed by a re-release in June.

No way Not Giving Up is going to be released if Leave A Light On is the next single.

I think either track would suffice as fifth single. None of the album tracks outside of those two are single worthy at this point. This next single is probably going to be the difference between a Gold album and an uncertified one.

Regardless of if they land Children In Need (by the way, didn't they perform My Heart Takes Over on that? Did it help at all? Probably not.) I think this could do a few more weeks Top 50. They have Paul O'Grady on the 11th, and then the new Now! album will be out on the 18th so that should give it a boost.

Girls, Sail and Free have all overtaken them now. And You Make me will soon (weekend song). No idea if they'll make the top 40.

It's unlikely the first three will be top 40. You Make Me was ahead already. It'll stay top 40 I'm sure.

I hope you're right. It depends how much a lead they get. Sail and Free are quite far ahead of them now, and were not far behind them during the week.

I think you are becoming a little OCD on the iTunes position!

Everytime I come on here you are analysing every single detail! Honestly, they have been ahead of all those all week and I'm sure they would have overtaken some of the other songs that were ahead of them (Union J etc..) especially if they get a really good weekend boost as they did last weekend.

Apologies if my OCD tendencies have irritated you. I just think another week in the top 40 would be good for the girls, especially since so many of their other releases have dropped like a stone.

We all do BUT songs are fluctuating on iTunes, you were saying that Bombay Bicycle club were going to overtake them and they have fallen to #55 now.

Just be patient, if they chart at #41 then so be it, the sales won't be much different anyway.

I do agree, we don't need to know on an hourly basis that they've dropped one place / climbed one place. I understand you're enthusiasm what is great but it's becoming a tad irritating.
I think top 40 is set in stone for this week. They've been consistantly at the #40 - #45 mark all week (higher combined, of course) whereas their nearest competitors have either only just overtaken them or fallen way behind them.
