It was hardly gonna appeal to the audience of Strictly. :lol: Disco Love would've got a better boost.

Strictly rarely gives that big of a boost other than to albums usually released for the mothers day audience.

Strange how the deluxe is also climbing even though it's still full price and not in the £4.99 offer.

 

Just goes to show that people obviously had no idea they even had a new album out!

 

Fair enough they promoted the singles, but like others said..There were no/very few TV adverts actually advertising the new album, lack of promo on album release week and every time they have performed the album hasn't been mentioned.

 

If they can find the funds they should definitely come up with some sort of advertising campaign alonside performances of the next single in the new year, good slots, decent advertising and a sales reduction £6.99/£5.99 etc..could really help push the album back top 40 and I'm pretty sure it would help get airplay, more gigs and do wonders for the upcoming tour(even if sales are low).

 

They should definitely capitalise on both the tour and album (why couldn't they have a TV campaign promoting both the album and tour within a single 30 sec advert?!?) or a Youtube campaign doing the same.

 

You can't be lazy in the current music industry acts that sell either have massive or clever promo or are a major artist (even Bloody GaGa has struggled this year).

The Deluxe version is also in the 'What's Hot' sedition - which is helping it.

Either way it's great to see it rising. If it can go Top 50 on itunes, hopefully it can go back into the top 100 officially :)
