Ah, that makes more sense.

Well it's at #37 on iTunes just now. Taylor Swift will probably overtake after X-Factor pushing them to #38, but then Lorde has two versions so it puts them back to #37. Are Eminem's songs eligibile now? What about Lady GaGa's? All this pre-order stuff confuses me.

Eminem's songs will be eligible this week as his album is being released. Gaga's will be eligible the following week.

Eminem's will become eligible this week but Gaga's won't. So Do What You Want won't be included for one more week. But While Monster and Berserk will probably stay quite high, there is a possibility, that since they won't be instant grats anymore, Rap God and Survival will most likely drop down out of the top 40.

Katy's second Roar will probably overtake very soon because it's 79p, pushing them to 39 with Taylor too, but that doesn't really matter because Katy is already in there with Roar.

1xRoar, 1xRoyals and Do What You Want all won't count, so they need to stay at 42 at the lowest in iTunes for 1 more week.

It doesn't sound that hard!! I can't believe how well it's doing now.

That means they only need to stay at #43 :) Great analysis though!

Thanks :) My maths isn't the best, clearly.

Fingers crossed it can hold on. It'll probably overtake Union J again soon.

 41

Its going to be difficult for them to stay in the top 40 I think, I was expecting them to overtake Union J but instead Same Love overtook them. So did the new Justin Song (obviously) as well as another ineligible Gaga song. Blurred Lines might be ahead of them combined, too.

' Blurred Lines ' is ahead combined as is Union J by a much bigger percentage. I'm hoping in the new 59p batch tonight a song from ' Living For The Weekend ' is 59p, ideally it would be ' What About Us ' but hype / boost is necessary.
So they're actually at #39 if you take away 1 Lorde and two Gagas and add on Blurred Lines. Hopefully they'll go back up a little. They were at 40/39 this time last week but slowly went back up to 32 by the end of the week.

 42

Jessie J has jumped up. #Officially around #40.

At what time do iTunes change songs to 59p?

I think Disco Love is holding onto the top 40 by the skin of its teeth at the moment. Still at 42 on iTunes.

I have a feeling they'll be #41 on Sunday now.

Bright green and up to #40 not too shabby hopefully it gets a boost at the weekend again holds top 40 and then gets a push from Paul O Grady!

Great news!

They should be okay if they stay there where they are, as there is currently two songs ahead of them that don't count. It was last Tuesday that they started to slowly rise again, hopefully it's a similar stroy this week.

Rudimental and the 1975 have just reduced their songs to 59p and they have started to race up the chart, so we need to watch out for them!

Damn them!! Hopefully the manage to chart at the lowest at #40 but then again, I wonder if Paul could push them back into the top 20? I assume they must be releasing another single from this album, otherwise why would they be pushing Disco Love again on the tele :) :cheer:

I don't think anything will get them back into the top twenty (unless they 59p it). Paul might keep them in the lower regions of the top forty though, which would still be great.

I think they're waiting until the new year to release the next single - when sales are a bit lower. Maybe stick a rapper on the track to pick up some extra sales.
