This is what i have been waiting for, FOREVER!!!!!! I love her voice, and how she sang her ballads on her first four albums. Songs like "Lucky", "Sometimes", "Born To Make You Happy", etc. THIS is the modern version of that and I LOVE IT.

 

I also love it because BRITNEY wrote it, and i really don't care about the writing credits... But, you can just hear the conviction in her voice when she sings this! Unlike ANY song on "Circus" or "Femme Fatale". I'm not saying her voice is super strong, but the uniqueness and emotional vulnerability in it, when she sings what she feels > life.

 

Best song by Britney in years. Love, love, love. This album is turning out to be my favorite thing she has ever done, judging by her first two singles.

I really like it, far far better than Work Bitch which was so underwhelming. I think she's pretty awesome at ballads and midtempos, some of them criminally never released as singles *cough* Unusual You *cough*

I really liked 'Out From Under', that could have made a good single too.

I LIKE it, but I don't LOVE IT. Her voice sounds good and it's about time that she had a go at another ballad, but I just don't think the song is that great (at the moment.)

It is growing on me with every listen. So good!

Her vocals sound brilliant and I really like the lyrics, not as instant as Work Bitch but I can see me growing to be obsessed with it.

I don't think the song is anything as fab or 'iconic' as it was billed to be, but I think it's the best single from her in a long while. The thing with it, as Tyler said, is it genuinely feels like Britney before she turned into BritneyBot and I thinkthis song was maybe needed. The lead single was very fun etc but I hope there's more like Perfume on the album. Not necessarily ballads, but just something with spark. She lost that spark for so long, both personality wise and music wise.

 

It looks like she has her personality back, and the music is looking like it could be following suit. Happy Britney fan right now!

My problem with this song (I'm a tad 'meh' about it) is the production, I've decided. This really needed to match up with 'Wrecking Ball' in terms of the force of it (especially in the chorus). Miley yells that song but Britney doesn't have the same strength to her voice. That in itself is fine, but the production needs to make up for the gap that's left by the vocals and it doesn't do it. Far far far too stripped back and it kind of falls flat as a result :(

 

Not sure I expect it to do anything either, which sucks.

It's actually stunning! It's really reminding me of the Britney I used to love when she was first around.

 

It's a shame she wasted almost a whole decade being so rubbish, and how she's finally got her spark back when she's struggling to stay relevant. :(

This is rapidly growing and growing on me. The production often reminds me of 'Wide Awake'. I'm really loving this and I knew there was no need to doubt her ballads *.*

Confirmed performance on Nov 21. I hope it's for both WB and Perfume.. Is settle for just Perfume. A live performance of this song would shut the haters up and make me the proudest britney stan all in one night.

This is verrrry good. It's nice to hear a more 'old-school' Britney on this. The voice is sounding great on this too. Definitely growing on me every listen.

exactly how I feel...her voice it is not strong enough to handle the chorus which should have been much bigger ala Wrecking Ball or Big Girls Don't Cry...I am pretty sure Fergie would do justice to Perfume chorus.

 

 

I love her voice in the chorus.
