Unforch I think Rooney is probably right that 1D have built up too much of a lead to be overtaken now. Although, I thought the same about 'Moves Like Jagger' when it was dethroned by 'We Found Love', so perhaps if 'The Monster' builds up a really big lead it could do it...

 

I don't think 1D's video premiere is going to give them THAT big a boost but it probably won't even need one anyway.

 

(I say 'unforch' having not listened to 'Story Of My Life' yet, am totally open to the possibility of it actually being good. I did really like 'Little Things' after all. I just generally don't want 1D to be #1).

I get the sense Monster may suffer the curse of Love The Way You Lie, ironically, and get stuck at number 2 for a good few weeks behind the likes of Storm Queen/Martin Garrix and One Direction this week. Though I wouldn't be surprised if it managed to hold off some of them and I'm sure it will get a week eventually either way. Already heard this numerous times on the radio today and its only just been released...

Hopefully this can go top 200 before Sunday's X Factor performance and then hopefully top 40 after the performance! I'm not expecting the single to do any better than top 40 (which is still fabulous for a 5th single or 8th single including the promo singles!), but I'm sure it will give the album lots more sales!

Both GaGa tracks, and all Eminem tracks barring 'The Monster' are ineligible.

I would like for One Direction to achieve the number 1 this week as i sense Eminem and Rihanna will climb there in a week or 2 time regardless.
