Several of this year's UK #1s have been hovering around in the US iTunes Chart. Currently Waves is #148, I Got U is #427, Tsunami is #846, and obviously Rather Be we've been talking about for some time is at #70.

 

Hideaway has become a hit in Canada so I think that bodes well for success in the US.

I'm sure 'Waves' will become a big hit in the US eventually, they rarely miss out on the truly massive Euro hits. A bit surprised to see 'I Got U' making an impression though!

Tove seems to finally have meaningful upward momentum now (as well as that second version not far outside the top 100) so I'm pretty pleased with how that's doing. Birdy finally managing to get herself into the top 100 is good for her too - I actually think there's hit potential in the song even if it's less instant than 'Boom Clap' to the public. OneRepublic and Sia are not far off the top 10 now but I'm not sure if anyone currently in it is willing to budge, even Maroon 5 are back on the climb.

It always surprises me that so many Bieber clones still come on the scene these days. You'd think his story would put people off following in his footsteps.

 

Interesting to note that this guy's single is selling at $0.99 (rather than the standard $1.29).

If 'Chandelier' can overtake 'Summer' then it'll go top 10 when Shawn (almost) inevitably bombs out. They're very close together and Sia is gaining so I think it'll happen.
