November 4, 201311 yr I remember when the charts were so simple. People would buy a single, it counted as a sale, then they'd buy the album and it counted as a sale. I think the Complete My Album feature on iTunes is great but I hate instant grat tracks, buzz singles. I'm probably I'm the minority of course but I think the current rules around grat tracks are right. Otherwise, if I'm correct, Gaga would have had three top ten singles purely from preorders of her album and not because anybody chose them, they got them as a default as I did when I preordered The Wanted's new album, I got a grat track but I didn't pick it so why should artists rack up top ten singles practically giving them away
November 4, 201311 yr I don't think 'Venus' or 'Dope' would have gone top 10 anyway. 'Do What U Want' might have but I expect that will make the top 10 when it becomes eligible anyway as it clearly is popular beyond its 'automatic' sales lus it's still the second official single AFAIA).
