Haven't been even vaguely inclined to listen to this since it's week of release. Ooops.

Only listened to this in full for the first time since the leak week this week as well. Ooops.

I loved a lot of the Born This Way album. Heavy Metal Lover, Bloody Mary, Scheiße, Government Hooker... I really expected those to be the indicators of the direction for this album. But then that wouldn't sell. Although neither is this. Womp.

Sexxx Dreams is the most infuriating thing on the album for me, it so obviously could be AMAZING but it's actually just nowhere near as great as it could be as it's so limited by it's production.

 

Born This Way was infinitely better than this.

But Sexxx Dreams' production is utterly bombastic, euphoric and spectacular. When that chorus comes crashing in... it makes me want to grab the nearest passer by and perform a REVERSE WARHOL!
