I think a lot of people will be shocked by Gaga's sales next week and not in a good way.

LOL

Gaga is probably going to get about 50k. And that's from one of the BIGGEST fans of that album on here!

Yes she will. Can you genuinely imagine 100k of people going out to buy that album on the first week? 70k AT A PUSH. But definitely not 100k.
Eminem can be # 1 again over Gaga. :)

Why? Eminem's album has done exceptionally well already.

Apart from Lady Gaga fans, I really don't think there's much more people who care about Gaga, certainly not in the way they used to.

I'm willing to be proved wrong but I doubt it.

Why - because virtually all new albums suffer a >50% slump in sales on week 2 nowadays. That would take Eminem down to 75k or less - well within Lady Gaga's sights - possibly even The Killers too.

We'll see ffs. Apart from pre-orders nothing has even been sold yet.
That might be why it's called a PREDICTION.
I hope Little Mix surprise everyone and manage to take #3 ahead of the Killers and Keane - the reviews so far might help with that since they've all been overwhelmingly positive.
Gaga 120 000-160 000

Obviously the hype is nowhere near that of BTW but I don't see why people are convinced GaGa will sell less than 70k. I realised the other day that her album sales trajectory has been roughly similar to that of Kings of Leon's last couple in terms of total sales (and Come Around Sundown and Born This Way had fairly similar opening weeks) and they managed 70k with a single nowhere near as successful as "Radioactive" and without the trickle of Christmas sales that ARTPOP will attract.

Looking at it another way, she's still able to get singles into the iTunes top 10 with nothing but her name and "Do What U Want" has been doing fine with minimal support. Does that really equate to a halved opening week? I'd be surprised if she doesn't break 100k.

I've put 60-80k I think.

Can't see her doing 100k, Katy Perry had an X Factor performance and similar promotional single strategy and still only sold 53k, and I don't see how Lady Gaga is any more hyped than Katy.

Gaga has more devoted fans than Katy so that's not a good comparison.

The album is fantastic and sales before christmas don't rely on single choices as we know that DWUW is one and doing very well on iTunes as we speak.

And Katy's promotional releases apart from Roar (and Dark Horse at a push) have been horrible.

There is something seriously wrong with the direction of your math signs in the first post!   (should look more like a<x<b)

Gaga should do 100k, Killers 50k+ and Keane 30k.

The >s and <s are all the right way round as far as I can see?

I guess it is not important here, but no we don't sandwitch the <'s for no reason in maths.

You expect Gabriella Cilmi to be #2 then?

No, they are correct.
