Welcome to my end-of-year chart for 2013! This year I shall be counting down my top 200 singles, as well as my favourite 20 albums, ordered according to how much I loved them over the year (ie. not by points, although my points chart will also be revealed). Additionally, there will be an ARTIST OF THE YEAR countdown for five artists who I've truly loved this year. More info coming soon...

The second album from X Factor winners Little Mix is fantastic and manages to just make the top 20 here. Highlights include Move, About The Boy, Salute and Little Me, but it fails to beat two other girl group albums from this year. Next up is Ciara's slick fifth album, featuring two amazing collaborations with Nicki Minaj (and if you had a pound for every swear word used in I'm Out, you could help Nicki back into the top 30 and prove Eric_Blob wrong. Again). Another highlight is Overdose :wub: WHY DOES SHE ALWAYS FLOP? :(

Salute really is great, it's got NO filler which is a big step up from DNA (I still liked that but there are a few filler songs on it).

Oh EOY season in full swing!

 

Liking those two albums already. 'Ciara' in particular came out of nowhere and those are the obvious highlights you mentioned from it. 'Live It Up' is an absolute BEAST, favourite track v easily.

 

Satisfaction Guaranteed for #1. And that's probably a real possibility.

Two 'no1curr' artists here really, both female country artists. First up is Kacey Musgraves (friend of goddess Lucie Silvas'), with her lovely album Same Trailer Different Park. It's by no means perfect but there are some real gems on it, especially Follow Your Arrow, a song about being damned if you do and damned if you don't. After that is Cassadee Pope, a winner of The Voice USA, who has a stunning voice and could easily be big in the UK if she got the right push.
