EMBRACE IT. They make such brilliant pop songs. Gotta Be You is their only drab single IMO (and possibly their only drab song full stop).

Two "no1curr" songs now as Cody Simpson makes another appearance with the first single from his second album Surfers Paradise. Pretty Brown Eyes features the amazing lyric "go to sleep, wake up, you're pretty with no make up". Wow. Such lyrical genius. It's an amazing song regardless though. Ulrik Munther just misses the top 20 with Requiem but I'm sure he's not too gutted as he has three songs there anyway (I'm talking as if he's ACTUALLY gonna read this lol). Requiem is the third single from Rooftop, and is the only time Ulrik swears in any song he's done ("love is a beautiful place when you're in it, when you're in it, but then you f***ed it all up in just a minute, now we're finished"). It's a great song and I really do recommend it.

20. Delta Goodrem - Heart Hypnotic - 1-1-2-3-7-10-16-20-25-26-29-33-X (12 weeks)

 

Delta's most recent single Heart Hypnotic enters at a respectable #20. It was a song I loved for a good few weeks but ended up growing bored of fairly quickly. Love it again now when I listen though :wub: It's a totally new sound for Delta, produced by Ryan Tedder, the song is an anthemic dance track. It was a pretty rushed release, only announced days in advance, with no music video or physical CD ever coming to fruition (a first for a Delta single). It's unknown if this will be on her next album but I hope it is!

Iggy Azalea makes her first appearance of THREE in the top 20. I never expected to love Iggy but boy did she impress this year. Bounce for me is the weakest of all her singles but it's still absolutely FANTASTIC and a real jam. The video is brilliant also. I NEED HER ALBUM (and this better be on it).

I grew tired of it quicker than with Work (I got into both at the same time, I was late to the Work party), and Change Your Life still isn't old for me. :lol: So yeah it had to be the lowest of the three, but it's still amazing and I am PUMPED for her album.

My least favourite from her too, grew tired of it eventually but can still enjoy the other two any time.

 

Her best video though for me. Can't believe how BIG/professional it was for such a relatively new artist!
