Posted November 28, 201311 yr LaArkjF7AnM I hope this doesn't turn into another 'Alice In Wonderland' (2010) mess. But it looks promising.
November 29, 201311 yr I was so *.* when I saw this in the trailers part before Catching Fire in the cinema! Not because the movie looked good (in fact I have no opinion yet because it's literally like one scene wot) but COZ ANGELINA!!!!1 JOLIE IS BACK and playing one of the most famous Disney villains! <3
November 29, 201311 yr "Don't be afraid" "I'm not afraid" "Then come out" "Then you will be afraid" OOOH *.*
January 7, 201411 yr They will have to go a long way to make this fail in my eyes, Maleficent is just such an inherently fabulous character and Jolie seems made for the role. It does have a whiff of Alice about it (rubbish main girl) but the CGI looks 100 times better in that trailer alone.
June 25, 201411 yr I watched this movie at the cinema three days ago I believe that “Maleficent' is one of the best advertise movies this year. I have watched the official trailer many times when I went to watch other movies. So, I think that everybody knew about this film worldwide. The only thing that made me wonder was the fact that Disney undertook this project. They usually make very corny movies. However, I know that it's one of the best studios based on their total movies. Angelina Jolie was the most suitable actress for this role. She was excellent as Maleficent. I couldn't recognise Sharlto Copley one more time. I have watched three of his movies after District 9, and I thought that he was a brandnew actor everytime. He is a very good actor. The rest of cast was quite funny. The movies had impressive visual effects, wonderful sets and the colours edited perfect. Robert Stromberg did an amazing job despite the fact that Maleficent was his debut film as director. However, he is very recognizable in Hollywood. He won two Oscar for his art direction in “Avatar” and “Alice in Wonderland”. So, I believe that he was the best choice for the Disney Studio. I really enjoyed this movie (apart from the childish/girly beginning) and I believe that the production was one of the best in the last few years. Surely, it's not an exact copy of the story but it's an alternate version. I think that Disney wanted to atone and excuse the bad character of Maleficent. Basically, the greed of people turned Maleficent into a bad witch. Otherwise, she is a sweet fairytale..:P Maleficent had a great beginning in the Box Office. It has already earned its budget and it will be one of the most successful blockbusters in this summer. It also has a high rating in IMDB. Maybe the good result of the movie will promote other movies which the leading actress is a woman. Do you remember the speech of Katie Blanchett for “Blue Jasmine? “Maleficent” was a decent movie with incredible visual effects and beautiful bright colours.
July 4, 201411 yr I saw this on Wednesday and thought it was fantastic! I'd not seen any of Angelina Jolie's previous films (shocker) so didn't know what to expect from her acting but it she was spot on as Maleficent. The story was a very good twist on the original tale (again, I'm not overtly familiar with it but I knew the basic premises) and I especially loved the twist where Maleficent gave Aurora true love's kiss. Fantastic CGI and film in general. I agree with the comparisons to Alice In Wonderland but I much preferred this as a whole.

July 4, 201411 yr I'd not seen any of Angelina Jolie's previous films (shocker) so didn't know what to expect from her acting Good lord  She's quite possibly one of my favourite actresses, but I can't for the life of me imagine that this is the movie on which to judge her talent (although admittedly, I'm still to see it). You should check out Girl, Interrupted and Changeling for two of her best performances. Also, Salt, Mr and Mrs Smith and the first Tomb Raider are good shouts if you want to see how she handles the action movies. She's amazing.
July 6, 201411 yr Calm down, it's not as if she's most famous for her acting. I do KNOW of films with her in but I'm not a fan of the action genre so Salt/Mr. and Mrs. Smith never interested me. I would like to see Changeling though.
July 6, 201411 yr Changeling is a terrible, terrible movie. But then I don't like to feel like I'm being emotionally manipulated and that certainly felt like it was doing that. This, on the other hand, was pretty good. Sharlto Copley's accent was hilariously awful, the CGI was a bit blurry at times and it lacked a strong beginning and ending, but Jolie was amazing and it was quite good fun.
July 6, 201411 yr I love Changeling. Jolie was absolutely superb in it. A raw, emotional performance.
