Posted December 12, 201311 yr Has anybody else watched this / plans to watch it? It's absolutely brilliant. Silas/John it's right up your street - I'm four episodes in and absolutely hooked!!
December 13, 201311 yr AS IF you would think Silas or John could possibly be able to miss this with a THOUSAND of remakes around and the original being highly loved by (at least) Silas. :D I doubt I will be watching it as I love Bron/Broen way too much. Same with the English/French remake. Unless you meant the Scandinavian version in which case there's already a topic for the show's season 2 which finished airing in Scandinavia a few days ago (it is called Bron/Broen). Plus season 1 was (kind of) discussed in here.
December 13, 201311 yr Author I missed it completely, I was traveling when it came out, and only found it slightly by mistake. I knew it was a remake, but like with most subtitled things I don't like them. I can have a short attention span. There's subtitled scenes in this remake too with the Mexicans and it's hard to keep up with at times. It's really good though, everything The Killing should have been.
December 13, 201311 yr I think Jark made a thread about this at the time. I keep meaning to check it out but the remake of the killing was awful and I didn't think much of The Tunnel so it's not high up on the list tbh.

That will probably be my bad searching skills / lack of appearance in the summer! The Killing suffered from too many episodes and the hints about the killer, it really played on that fact, and it was only in the 3rd season that the rights focused on the Linden/Holder relationship. This is really really good though, and definitely benefits from the border relations between the USA & Mexico and the feeling that each other who live at the border have. The two leads are excellent.
