Their highly anticipated debut album didn't disappoint. The record is very instant and full of highlights but you can't really stay on the same album for too long unless it REALLY has something special, so, as shown by its chart run, this album got a bit old quickly.

Justin finally came back this year which was a good news although I personally never was overly excited about his output per se. This was a very strong comeback indeed. Don't Hold The Wall is an instant highlight that sets it apart from the rest of the album. The song, although complex and extremely multilayered which can put some people off it, is just so special and interesting. Mirrors, Blue Ocean Floor and both bonus tracks are fabulous as well though. All in all, great comeback.

It's one of the first albums of 2013 I heard and it set the bar quite high. Thought that maybe #30 is a bit too low but no, it's perfect for that position really. The LP is nothing groundbreaking but very nice and perfect for listening to on a Wednesday afternoon sipping tea and browsing internet.

Foals' third studio album is at #29 equalling the record of its predecessor released in 2010. The album is as consistent as ever, very Foals and contains enough highlights to be interesting and keep me excited to hear their newer material, and god knows how long we will have to wait since it took them 2.5 years to release Holy Fire.

As for Disclosure's album sounding samey/generic, I thought it was one of the most refreshing and varied albums of the year. Pitchfork have it at #3 in their list. :P

Cooky American artist with her second (yep I was surprised as well) record titled Interiors is at #28. The album is fresh, exciting amd weird. Glasser is probably the weirdest artist of 2013 for me even if nothing is really that weird. Something about the sound and her presentation I guess. Did I also mention this terrifying image? :'(

It's been 5 years since I started following Melodifestivalen, and this compilation has always been able to sneak into the Top 50 of each year since 2009, apart from 2011 when it was deemed ineligible to enter the chart (the rule has since been abolished). After last year's 13th place for MF2012, this year's compilation only makes it to #27. The rules regarding compilations in the YE charts are strict as none of them are able to finish inside the Top 10, therefore #27 is still very much impressive, although much less impressive after MF2012's incredible 13th position finish. Anyway, this year's Melodifestivalen was quite impressive, had enough excellent songs and artists, but with one exception. MOST OF THOSE ARTISTS CRASHED OUT IN THE SEMIFINALS AND ANDRA CHANSEN. The final was TRULY terrible. Please go back to being SANE in 2014 Sweden.

What an incredible follow-up album! Truly impressive effort. Packed with smashes and chooons, it sounded fresh and not overdone. Papaoutai proved to be a mammoth of a grower climbing from #28 to #1 in two moves.

Well, Eurovision album would always make it in this chart, and pretty high. Apart from 2011 when there was a rule excluding compilations like this from charting. Oh well, anyway, this year was not as good as I hoped it would be in all honesty. Not a single Eurovision entrant at #1. 2012 had FIVE #1's, in 2011 there was one, in 2010 - two, in 2009 - four, in 2008 - three, in 2006 and 2007 - one each. Only in 2005, when the Eurovision entries actually started charting, there were no Eurovision number ones. History is repeating itself 8 years later.

Well, I wasn't such a big fan after my first listen, which by the way I almost forced myself to take because Royals is very much SHIT. But after a bit it grew and grew. Buzzcut Season still remains the runaway favourite. Such a sweet song. (listening to buzzcut season on the tube! oh ryan such a shame this didn't happen #bffs #ikea) It's actually incredible that she co-wrote all the songs for this album, and she was just 16 at that time! Cray cray. Brings another layer, which I cannot ignore, into the picture. The later that groups like The Saturdays will never had. (talent that is oops)
