It'd say a lot about Island's faith in Leona if she does release her album out of the Q4 period for once. She doesn't need an X Factor slot and a Children In Need performance to shift albums if she has a cracking lead single and a good relationship with radio. A February release for her next single and then a May release for her album and follow-up single would be ideal.

 

In the mean time, I hope for One More Sleep to dominate the radio stations this year as well as maybe a feature on someone's single just to keep her name in the spotlight and to extend her chart discography.

@WorldofLeonaLew she will definitely release an album this year. I reckon November.

As much as I would personally love for Leona to release an album before the end of this year I would also love One More Sleep to carry on it's success, although it may not be as big as it was last christmas I would love for her to promote the Christmas album again and maybe eventually get it to platinum and then go onto her 5th album. Would love a spring single & then maybe a 2nd single then an album release. Just hoping she goes back musically to the Echo era as that was by far her best, that album will always be one of my favourite albums ever released by any artist. The sound is so mature & the songs are so relatable. :wub:

"Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" was used on a BBC advert which helped its digital sales somewhat. If they had to push another single, I would go with "Ave Maria" if Leona is up for performing it. I think one live performance of that - showing everyone how beautiful her voice is still whilst also shocking everyone - would really push the album well and I think "Ave Maria" could go top 10 on iTunes with the right performance.

I would love a video for "Mr Right". It's insanely catchy, but I would rather them focus on "One More Sleep" to try to make it a recuring thing every Christmas, rather than 2 singles. Although I would kill for a live performance of it.

 

Also, Jermaine Brown recently nominated Leona for the Ice Bucket Challenge. I hope she does it. :D

- Leona IS recording for a new era. This will take time. Island records have teamed up with Deff Jam on her project in the US. There are great plans and the new music is sounding nothing short of amazing.

 

- She has really not forgotten her fans... She loves us an appreciates our loyalty... On the other hand, great things are now really happening for Leona's career and her fans. They have a plan which my source says will start this year... So we should hear great things very soon!

 

- Leona is a world super star artist, you know, and she is now managed by a US team. Great things mostly start in the US and usually have US involvement. Syco is UK based but she has now left Syco to peruse a worldwide career with major labels and situations in the US.

 

- Leona is working hard in studios accross the US.

 

This is from a reliable member on digital spy who's info also matches with another member who gets inside information.

 

So Leona is working with Def Jam = R&B direction. They also said the plan starts this year.... so perhaps a single or collab? I am so excited! Especially that she's working so much in the US and the release will defo be worldwide! :D

Excited about her working with Def Jam, Dont want to get my hopes up, But am expecting great things from this album quailty wise! Seeing who shes worked with etc. Just hope she picks the right single and radio get onboard and stuff.

Leona was in studio yesterday with Ilsey Juber (worked on JLO new album A.K.A) and Jesse Belief who's real full name is Jesse Shatkin (he co wrote chandelier with Sia) and also worked with Katy Perry (prism album) ellie goulding, pink, dido, kylie, rita ora, selena gomza, kelly clarkson to name a few.

I don't know who on the Island Records roster is releasing new material later this year except Jessie J but she's already got two female artists on her first single. I doubt she'll have another on her second single. Jessie and Leona are friends though.

I'd rather Leona not collab with Jessie J. I don't think their voices will go that well together and it'll be rather messy. Leona's working with Def Jam on the album too, so she could potentially collab with one of their artists (Jay Z is on Def Jam... An "Empire State Of Mind"-like smash hit would be awesome). Either way, it's quite exciting at the amount of people she coul potentially work with now that's she's on Island records! ^_^

I would love Leona to work with Afrojack too on his album or something. A big dance song with Leona's vocals would be amazing.

 

Also, I would LOVE Leona to work with Usher for a collab on her album. She's been to his birthday party before/knows him and think he likes her. So hope that could mean a collab or something, especially if the album is going for more of an R&B direction. Or Alicia Keys. I WOULD DIE HAPPY if she collabed with Alicia. They're two of my fav female artists <3
