She sounds great and the music sounds like it's going to be strong!!! The last bit "Just when you thought you dropped me, I gotta drop the news" must be about Syco surely? Really cannot wait so excited and the last line might hint that she's going to drop some big news very soon!!! :D

The album is called I Am and is currently slated for a release in July apparantley. Exciting!! :D

 

Also there are two tracks called "I Am" & "Thank You" too. So we've got the title of 3 tracks so far! :D

Ye it's subject to change sorry, but that's the title for the moment.
Leona has a showcase on Tuesday 10th March and will be showing off some album tracks/the first & second singles too. A bunch of industry people have been invited and Leona's been rehearsing for it in recent days. Things should really take off after that. *_* :D

New track title: What You're Looking For. Leona Lewis, Anne Preven and Wilkins Wayne worked on it. Wilkins Wayne is the guy who helped write/produce "Take A Bow".

 

Title so far:

 

"Fire (Under My Feet)"

"I Am"

"Thank You"

"What You're Looking For".

 

Also, Leona was in the studio recording bonus tracks the last couple of weeks, for the deluxe version I assume. :D

Take A Bow is one of my faves, so really excited by that news! :cheer:

Lots of press about Leona's album today. Dan Wootton is calling it "very strong" while The Sun (and other media) is claiming the album is a full-on attack on Simon Cowell and Syco!!

Lyrics to I Am:

 

I am breathing without you, I am somebody without you, I am free without you, I am stronger without you.

I thought I'd sum up what some fans are saying who attended the showcase:

 

First she sang "I Am" - Very dark in a way, it starts slow but then builds up by the end with big instruments. The lyrics are clearly referred to Syco! Her voice doesnt hold back.

Next "I Got You" - a different I Got You to the one on 'Echo'. This one is described as very catchy and instant but not as deep as I Am. Her voice didn't hold back on here either.

Third "Ladders" - she explains that it's about discovering the worthiness of the lowest moments in her life and how those very moments helped her to value the highest. Her voice went extremely high and her voice sounded amazing.

Fourth "Thank You" - written for her parents. Described as very sophisticated and a simple piano ballad but very emotional.

Finally "Fire (Under My Feet)" - they've never seen her deliver such a powerful and exciting performance. The production and her voice are both amazing and the track has many layers to it. They said it's definitely the right choice for first single.

Everywhere I'm looking I can see amazing reviews. I'm so excited for this album and especially to hear Fire. Everyone on Digital Spy Forums are going nuts for it. The only worry is about the album and single being overhyped.

I don't think hype is a bad thing. It's exactly what she needs after no one cared about her last couple of singles.
