Like I've said before - Leona is the biggest 'winner's story' and really helps sell the X factor - so they need her like she needs them. It looks good for them as a show if she can sustain a career.

Who's pre-ordered the album?

It would be great if she could get a lot on the X-factor again. Hopefully she'll perform her 3rd single on the show and her performance will have a big impact. Leona has always seemed to benefit hugely from performing on X-factor. "Hurt" went to #2 on UK iTunes when she performed on the final and even "Trouble" got a very big boost after performing on the show. I hope that the 3rd single will be a very strong song and a performance on the X-factor would boost it and the album hugely. Can't wait to hear the album!

Also, I've pre-ordered it. :D

If the album charts high, I think Leona is in with a chance to perform on XF. If the album and 'Thunder' both underperform, I don't think XF will book her since they have no ties to her anymore. But I'm hopeful (and dare I say sure) that the album will chart in the top 5.

The way albums are these days, missing top 5 would be very disappointing. I think top 3 should be easily achievable with similar airplay to fumf and solid promo. It could get to number 1 on a slow week. If Will Young can, I'm sure she can. Thunder needs to be strong though.

The good thing for the album is that the second single should definiitely get strong BBC Radio 2 support. She has the BBC Radio 2 concert thing September 13th and considering how supportive of "Fire Under My Feet" they've been I think they'll support the second single just as much. :D Would be great if the second single could get support from Heart too. I think "Thunder" definitely sounds like something they would play. Just have to hope promotion and support for the song beforehand will be enough to get it top 40 so commercial radio will give the song a chance.
The standard and physical CD pre-order has been removed from Amazon UK for some reason. Only MP3 album available. I was going to preorder too.

I've updated the opening post with audio links for the 3 tracks released already.
I like the sound of "Ladders", can't wait to hear the studio version of that!

Yaaas, April babe! I've always said 'Ladders' sounds like the best.

Seriously wish Ladders was being pushed instead of I Am. it's *so* much better than that or Thunder from what I've heard.

She looks and sounds amazing!!

I might have zoned out during BIT (it's not my favourite Leona song, let's say) but I'm pretty sure there was no 'Man Down' in it...

That isn't the full performance, but when she performs it that way she has always added Man Down.

It's the BIT/Man Down mashup. She's been doing it for years. Listen to the production :P Plus we didn't get the ending but it normally goes into the "Mama mama I just shot a man down" part of Man Down near the end.

Oh I know :P But I just thought this performance was just a reggae version without 'Man Down'.

Ah, I always call it the "BIT/Man Down" version even if there is no "Man Down"

Someone on PJ just said that Radio 2 do nothing for singles or album sales, I was always under the impression that they can have a great affect on albums, but I don't follow charts so that was just the impression I picked up from reading forums, but I know many here take interest in following the charts, so whats your take?

They have an impact on the albums chart, quite a big one. Will Young essentially went to #1 in the albums chart (albeit on somewhat low sales) due to BBC Radio 2 play.

They certainly help the album charts. Saying that, the material still has to connect. 'I Am' wouldn't have sold from just FUMF.

Thanks. Radio 2 obviously liked FUMF, so hopefully they show the same support to I Am and even make the album, the album of the week, plus the live gig she is doing for them will all hopefully lead to decent album sales.

I definitely think they'll make I Am their album of the week. They did the same for Christmas, With Love & Glassheart. Not to mention she's on the main stage of their Festival on September 13th, two days after album release.
