I will always find this quote funny:

On what her debut record will sound like, Bailey continued: "It wouldn't be a case of rushing it. I don't want to do a cheesy album with loads of covers, I want to do something a bit different. "I've got a few ideas up my sleeve. Simon says he wants my input. He wants me to go in there with a few ideas and [not]just let everyone else make up my mind for me, so I've got my work cut out."

:D

Oops at that performance on The One Show, obviously some microphone issues :kink:

Is this really coming out in a couple of weeks? There's not even the SLIGHTEST of hype for it!

Poor woman, she seems a dead cert to be quickest X Factor winner to be dropped. Even Steve Brookstein managed to eke it out until the summer after he won.

This is such a bizarre release strategy. SyCo have spent so little money on her, it's ridiculous! They didn't even pay for her transport to Wembley Arena last weekend for the X Factor tour, I saw her walking from the tube with her family
Does anyone know if this has leaked yet? If anybody in the world other than me still cares... :(

10.0 The Power of Love

09.5 From This Moment On

10.0 There You'll Be

11.0 And I Am Telling You (with Nicole Scherzinger)

10.0 Compass

08.0 Get Here

08.0 Treasure

09.0 Ain't No Mountain High Enough (with Michael Bolton)

09.5 Superwoman

10.0 Skyscraper

'The Power of Love' isn't as fabulous as her X Factor performance(s) of it were, but it still sounds fantastic! 'And I Am Telling You' is SO much better than the performance, the last 30 or so seconds are just perfect. Michael ruins 'Ain't No Mountain High Enough'; and 'Get Here' and 'Treasure' are two forgettable weaklings, the former more-so.

evidently so.

well except if that's if you feel them to be "weaklings" they would not score an 8 or a 9.

no offense calum but one thing you've shown to be very true is that you are either incredibly easily pleased or you are unable to give criticism to acts you like where it is due. everything you like is always perfect and without flaw. which is nigh-on impossible if one is being totally honest. could sam not of released any album with any cover version on and you would have loved?

i'm not being nasty, it's just an observation and i mean no upset. just find some objectivity and then people might start to take your opinions a little more seriously...

Weak in comparison to most of the album, yes. perfectly justifiable, imo, for them to be scored 8's and 9's.

Clearly if it were the case that "everything I like is perfect and without flaw" they'd all be 11's. But alas, they are not.

Even so, you said Michael ruined the song he is on, but you gave it a 9, that makes very little sense.

Everyone needs to lay off Cal, it is his opinions of the songs :)

I shall listen to this tomorrow when it is on Spotify!

Sam Bailey was my favourite contestant on X-Factor last year!!! She is so likeable!! Her voice is beautiful and i love her new song "Compass". I believe that she is an "A Class singer" when there are so many "B class" around the world...

Sam now has her number 1 single and album, she is the first winner to manage that in a while. Well done Sam and her album sales opened with respectable numbers.
to be fair tho most winners wait until quarter 4 to release their stuff, well done to her tho.
