Yeah, that's what I was thinking (said it in the iTunes weekly thread :P). I'd say they have a good chance despite the impact being split over today and next week. It's the kind of situation where many people may have heard the song previously, liked it, but never knew the band or put the artist to the song until now, so I'd say the boost will be significant and quite prolonged. Plus it was a great performance. I don't know anything about Katy's promotion next week but I'm hoping she does a good round of TV performances/interviews to secure that number 1.

It's hard to know and I think there's a bit of wishful thinking involved but with 'Crying' doing very well, almost universally positive reviews for the album (except really for 'The Independent') and it being a quiet week for new releases, I think she'd have to be considered a contender :).

Yeah she should do well I'll be buying it anyway as her first album was great. The radio 2 play listing will have widened her appeal too. Let's hope at the very least 2 albums will sell over 20k again!

5 Seconds Of Summer's EP seems to have plummeted since the song premiered. Unusual.

YESSSS Lauren! :cheer: #8 is fantastic for an unsigned artist with just a pre-order. Hope this can make the top 40 for her.

I think it should do, 'Sinners' didn't chart much higher than 'Fools' but then it was available as a free download in its week of release so it did quite well to chart at all really, this time she should go quite a lot higher.

The new Ministry Of Sound compilation is excellent, might have to pick it up sometime soon! Good to see it charting so well! :wub:
