Posted December 30, 201311 yr This list will include 50 TV shows I watched at least 2 episodes of in 2013, regardless of when those episodes were aired.
December 30, 201311 yr Author 41 | The Big Bang Theory 42 | Project Runway 43 | Dexter 44 | 2 Broke Girls 45 | American Dad! 46 | Luther 47 | Regular Show 48 | Seinfeld 49 | King of the Nerds 50 | Ja'mie: Private School Girl FV2PbHi0KEw So we are starting with Ja'mie which I caught up with last Saturday during my TV day <3 The show has quite a few moments and Ja'mie is ridiculously unlikeable but there's really not much underneath the racism, homophobic behaviour and hypocrisy really. If this gets another season, I would probably not watch it at all because the show doesn't seem to have a future. King of the Nerds is a reality show which title says it all really. Watched a bit of Seinfeld this year and it did make an influence on me although not enough influence clearly. So many jokes there are outdated and not funny now, but that's obvious because it is literally from another generation. Louis-Dreyfus is quite a saving grace. Regular Show tries to do something Adventure Time does better. It became better by mid-season 2 (which is where I'm at right now) but I'm not really that excited to watch it. I do it mostly because I don't have time to watch a regular 20-minute episode of South Park each morning before work so it has to be Regular Show. I also started Luther this year (it's on hiatus for me now) and it's also rather exciting. Obviously not much happened in the first 2 episodes, and I'm sure more gripping stuff are yet to come, but the whole storyline with that crazy girl that murdered her parents is enough to keep the show in my to-watch-laterz list. American Dad! really lacks the oomph it had a couple fo years ago. Episodes rarely amuse meand the whole air schedule is extremely off-putting. Glad it's changing networks next season because FOX are a mess. 2 Broke Girls also stopped impressing me with season 2 episodes. Although season 3 is so much better now that they introduced new characters and got away from the cupcake business for now. Don't get me started on Dexter. Ridiculously bad season 8! I don't think I'm even going to watch the remaining 4 episodes I have yet to watch because I read what is going to happen, and it's quite frankly not the ending I wanted. The season, which started rather alright (!), ruined the whole show for me. Project Runway will always be on my best of lists as it's amazing and will never stop being amazing as long as Heidi Klum is the host bye xxx. TBBT recovered as well yay! Nice call to finally make Rajesh speak to women without alcohol as it was getting tiresome.
December 30, 201311 yr Author 31 | Bones 32 | Portlandia 33 | Homeland 34 | Elementary 35 | The Mindy Project 36 | Modern Family 37 | Utopia 38 | Futurama 39 | Fringe 40 | Hostages yYjLrJRuMnY Hostages started this year and it was probably my most anticipated show of the year. I only watched the first 2 episodes and it was rather cliched and cheesy but it didn't really disappoint overall. Poor Toni though - can't catch a break from poor ratings :'( The last season of Fringe, which I watched in 2013, was a nice conclusion but it could've been better. I'm so glad they didn't Dexter it because I can't have 2 of my favourite shows ever ruined because of their last seasons. Some TV execs are really really stupid. Futurama is another show we buried this year. The actual series, and the show, was patchy but very good overall, and the ending was perfect. So stay dead, I would say. Utopia started off so damn strong and it lost its oomph by the end of season 1, which is baffling because it's only 6 episodes long. Modern Family completely recovered in this new season, being so much funnier and interesting. Lily and Haley are KILLING it. Sole reason to watch it, if anything. The Mindy Project is still ridiculously funny and anyone who says otherwise shouldn't be allowed to have a TV. Although I admit that the storyline with that pastor guy was very confusing and bad, so I'm glad they got rid of him. Can't Mindy just GET IT AWN with Danny though?! We ALL know it's going there! The entire world would agree that Lucy Liu is like the hottest woman of Asian descent ever, right? She's also the only reason to watch Elementary. The Sherlock himself isn't that convincing to me to be frank. But the show is interesting enough so I keep watching (although being so behind oops). Homeland lowered the bar a little this year. I'm yet to finish season 2 (have one episode left oops) but season 2 overall sadly didn't match the intensity of the first series. I kept putting off watching Portlandia for a while now but when I finally made myself watch it, it really blew me away. Funny, original, interesting. Bones is still very much amazing.
December 30, 201311 yr Author 26 | Scandal 27 | Rizzoli & Isles 28 | South Park 29 | Forbrydelsen 30 | Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 ra5vJKX92To Apt 23 was sadly cancelled this year and I cried so much it made my boobs hurt :'( Easily one of the funniest new shows of 2012. ABC have their STROKE ONE. I don't think they want to know what happened after STRIKE THREE tho. Danish Forbrydelsen is ridiculously classy and the classier than any American or British TV show will ever be. It's also really smart, has a fantabulous cast and has so many red herrings, you get tired of guessing and give up on it but then a true identity gets revealed and you get pulled in again. So f***ing clever. South Park is still as funny and clever as before. The recent 3-episode Game of Thrones-themed arc is insane. Rizzoli & Isles continues to be amazing too. Scandal made the most surprising turn-around for me. It's gone from a completely bad, campy and unwatchable mess in the pilot to quite an amazing intense and exciting piece of US TV of the year! Long live Queenlivia Pope!
December 30, 201311 yr Author 21 | Drawn Together 22 | Damages 23 | The Amazing Race 24 | Suits 25 | Castle Sh1dALYXKv4 I completely caught up with like 349057390 Castle seasons at the beginning of this year and it just elevated the show in my rankings. Charming, funny, charismatic, intense (those double episodes!!!). Totally see why it's still so popular in the US. Suits came in and grabbed that audience which waited for the next lawyer-firm show, especially now that Fairly Legal is out of the picture (which is the biggest crime USA have committed against TV, along with cancelling (although ending it PROPERLY at least) In Plain Sight). Didn't even need to finish season 1 to know it was going to go places and become pretty big, which I think it did. I love The Amazing Race so much I spoke about it in my IELTS earlier this month. It'd be so amazing to actually compete in this type of thing. Me and 152 would totes win. I started Damages this year and the first season was all kinds of incredible. Holy crap it was just fantastic. So much game-playing and backstabbing and tactics and mysteries. I LOVE flash-forward scenes because they make it even harder to grasp why and how something happened. It just draws you in even more. Speaking of drawing things in... Why has nobody notified me that Drawn Together is so amazing earlier? Offensive, explicit and funny cartoon? I eat this shit up like crazy!
December 30, 201311 yr Author 16 | Nurse Jackie 17 | Game of Thrones 18 | Archer 19 | American Horror Story: Murder House 20 | Burn Notice wBZU4gsYz54 Yet another show we said BYE to in 2013. Burn Notice is really like a practice book for people who want to be spies. Learned so much~ I watched the first season of AHS - Murder House - at the beginning of this year and despite my not being too comfortable watching horror stuff, I found the show incredible. So incredible that I had to watch 2 seasons in a row in, what I believe was, less than two days. The other two seasons, which I marked as new shows technically, are yet to appear in this. Archer is one of the show Johnkm recommended me (upon finding out that Jessica Walter voiced Malory who is basically Lucille Bluth I immediately started downloading it oops) and it was love at first episode. Pam is all kinds of amazing. Game of Thrones grabbed me right after that incredible golden crown scene. Goosebumps all over everything. SOLD. Now I'm milking seasons 2 and 3 while y'all are waiting for season 4. Mwahahahahahahahahahaha. Caught up on Nurse Jackie this year as well. Still so good.
December 30, 201311 yr Author 11 | Parks and Recreation 12 | Brooklyn Nine-Nine 13 | Adventure Time 14 | Will & Grace 15 | Breaking Bad PwjY6s7yfSk njXVQ4BrVWI So while Breaking Bad is a solid 9.5 I just can't see how it's a 10 right now (about 10 episodes left of the entire thing left). Like it's definitely an AMAZING show with a lot of depth and meaning but something SUPER BIG needs to hit like right now. Can someone die and all hell break lose... or something? I watched Will & Grace in its entirety this year as well. Two gay characters on mainstream TV in 1999?! Definitely pushed some boundaries, and that's the reason alone to watch it. However, there's still a lot of cheap stereotype-based humour which I don't exactly approve of. But positives outweight negatives in this case. thanks to Mr Triangles I found Adventure Time. First episode genuinely seemed like some drug-induced hallucinations of a drug dealer on steroids. After that it got a bit calmer but that's probably the whole 'my brain just got used to it' thing came into force. It would also seem my brain never got unused to it and that's probably why I think everything is even shittier than it was before oops. Brooklyn Nine-Nine is officially the best NEW show this TV season YAY. Mixing comedy and police cases without overload of the latter is so clever. Smartest move anyone in the TV industry has done since creating The Walking Dead. I believe the show will go places. And lastly, Parks and Recreation gets a mention yay. Obviously nothing can compare to the utter amazingness of seasons 2 and 3 but season 5 wasn't that bad either. It was just different. Still my favourite show in the world and pretty much nothing can stop that (unless something better comes along (lolololololol u can DREAM tina)).
December 30, 201311 yr Author 10 l VEEP HXKt0njEiR4 "Cuase I'm an angry bird right now... and you're a pig" Well, words escape me when I need to explain why this show is funny. IT JUST IS. DEAL WIT' IT. Julia Louis-Dreyfus can make anything funny really. This season was probably even funnier than its first, which is a good sign. KEEP AT IT.

The whole outrage immediately after tit-grab-gate was so funny.
December 30, 201311 yr Some amazing shows much too low (Game of Thrones!, Scandal!, American Dad etc). The Good Wife better be top 5.
December 30, 201311 yr Author 8 l American Horror Story: Asylum 3e37NtAYb5g Jessica Lange MAKES this show so I'm afraid to imagine what happens when she leaves it. Let her be that strawng female character in AHS forever <3 AHS: Asylum is the second season and it's more cooky than the one before. Set in the 60's, it features demons, angels, serial killers, insane people, aliens, Zachary Quinto... basically, anything and everything one can wish for.
December 30, 201311 yr Author 7 l The Big C (spoiler alert) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYyVcGsf0Gg The show is so good they even got Isaac Mizrahi to feature in the last season <3 This season is heartbreaking as you just know it's going to happen but you just must go with it until the end.
December 30, 201311 yr Author 6 l The Mentalist (super big spoiler alert) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=osBg3NtGK9s Now that the thing happened in the video above happened, the show definitely changed. Don't know if it's a good thing though. Really think they should wrap it up nicely and be done with it. DON'T DEXTER IT!
December 30, 201311 yr Author 5 l American Horror Story: Coven DtqbMTvqOYk Gayest show of the YEAR and DECADE perhaps. Death means nothing, everything means nothing, nothing means everything. Jessica Lange is doing her best job this season yet. Absolutely outstanding performance. Golden Globe should definitely get to her this year after she got snubbed by f***ing Julianne Moore last time! ARGH. Anyway, this season is the best one yet, and it's not even finished! Everything about it screams INCREDIBLE. Even managing to shade Bush and Romney! don't know if that line was scripted or not though but it does the job oops
December 30, 201311 yr Author 4 l The Good Wife VVyPLR_-O8Q "Who are you? - Kalinda" SHIT GETS REAL. INCREDIBLE. EASILY the best episode of the show and this year INDEED (like the video above said *.* ) THAT'S HOW TV IS DONE BITCHES!
