Able to chart from the moment it was released, what should've been the lead single from Lady Gaga's "ARTPOP" has lingered in the top 5 for nine weeks to date and has no reason to suddenly drop off as a new Christina Aguilera remix should help it stick around (and it might manage a re-entry in 2017 with the video release too). Not only one of her best but one of the absolute best of the year imo.

One of the more tolerable single from Katy B (although "Crying For No Reason" it is not), I don't resent this being here as I would if it was something from her awful first era.

Girl group of the moment Little Mix make their first of two appearances with "Change Your Life", the empowerment anthem that served as the third single from "DNA". It won't do as it says on the tin but it is rather nice and that chart run ain't bad going for such a release.

The stunning second single from "Prism" has so far achieved ten weeks top 10 when some people would've killed for it to manage one in the UK. :cry: Sometimes the public get it right (see below) but I still can't understand how it performed so badly. Maybe 1m people who wanted to buy it couldn't find it on iTunes as they were searching an alternative title :ph34r: :thinking: (or they just have no taste, case in point: Robin Thicke)

Just missing out on a top 50 place is *that* song from The Saturdays. It may not have stuck around to the lengths of "What About Us" but even an awful Saturdays single can manage six weeks top 10. Only on BuzzJack. At least the public gave it what it deserved.

Yay @ Gentleman missing top 50, definitely one of their worst and I'm pretty sure if any other girlband released that, their career would be over.

 

Good to see Katy B and Iggy going top 60 here, if only 1975/Chris Malinchak could join them - so close :(

'Unconditionally' debuted in the top 10? Really? I thought that only happened with mega hyped lead singles from female popstars, not random subpar album tracks (I know it was confirmed as a single already but still).

Olly Murs experienced a huge Buzzjack Multichart smash with this, well sort of huge, for a male - 7 weeks top 10 and a top 5 peak is pretty impressive! But, the most important thing about his success is that he's stopped 'Gentleman' from going top 50 by 1 point. Thank you very much Olly, thank you very much.

As with most years, the charts deliver us a dance hit from somebody that seems to have come from approximately nowhere. There were quite a few this year and 'Need U (100%)' featuring poor brave flop A*M*E seems to have been one of the best performing with the Buzzjack masses. Lasting an impressive 17 weeks though, has only managed to land them at #49, although perhaps down to lasting only 4 weeks in the top 10 despite a #4 peak.

Now, this is one I didn't expect to see top 50 - but Foxes, the 2012 BJSC winner, went on to finally have a semi-hit with this in the UK this year and I guess... in a similar way to 'I Love It', it's been lingering around that long, it's picked up constant trickle points. She never quite managed to reach single figures peak wise, but she's managed to get Youth top 50 - and this isn't even the last of Foxes yet! The fox is the dark horse of this EOY! (not Ylvis sadly).

Giving Martin's a good name on Buzzjack for the first time... ever - it's Martin Garrix. Going from a 2 week charter thanks to BJSC, to a huge UK #1 helped transform Animals into a top 50 end of year charter. 'Animals' didn't quite peak at #1 with the army of Buzzjack, thanks to a gaggle of various females such as Katy, Gaga and Little Mix. It's peak of #4 was fairly impressive and is still sitting comfortably at #13 in the current Multichart after 16 weeks. Not bad, Martin!

 

46 Mariah Carey (feat. Miguel) - #Beautiful [13 wks] (17-17-7-8-11-9-9-7-15-12-22-35-56) 763pts

This is an overrated moment, but a #46 moment never the less and an underperforming position from what I actually expected. It's finest moment was a #7 peak, rebounding into top 10 and it hung around in the top 20 for 10 of it's 13 weeks helping into this spot.

65 Selena Gomez - Slow Down [22 wks] (70-50-44-42-39-44-43-39-32-32-28-38-40-45-48-55-46-38-53-70-71-65) 640pts

 

Surprising entry here as this never took off in the UK and I'm a bit baffled at how it stuck around so long (even "Come & Get It" dropped out just before it could manage a 22nd week!) but who can complain when it's such a fab song. Very impressive for a song with a #28 peak to make the top 65 and I prefer it to C&GI by a fair margin. Stay tuned though as this isn't the only entry never to have made the UK top 40!

 

This isn't released yet :lol: 10th Feb is the release date.
