Posted January 3, 201411 yr We get a lot less sales info for million selling albums and albums approaching the mark but from the sales we do have, what albums do you think will pass 1m in 2014? Gezza's recent thread has Snow Patrol's Up To Now on 979k and I'm sure it's still a regular visitor to the Top 200 so I think that will finally make it this year. Both Amy Winehouse's Frank and Alicia Keys' The Element of Freedom have had estimate figures of ~980k for ages so they should pass 1m this year if they haven't already.
January 3, 201411 yr One Direction's "Take Me Home"? It's at 906K or so, so it could get to 1 million by the end of the year.
January 3, 201411 yr Mumford & Sons - Babel Bruno Mars - Unorthodox Jukebox (unlikely but we'll never know) Ellie Goulding - Halcyon (also a small chance) Edited January 3, 201411 yr by FM11
January 3, 201411 yr I'm hoping Eminem's The Marshall Mathers LP 2 sticks around and gets there eventually, although it could an awful long time. Would be a shame for such a great album not to follow Marshall Mathers LP, Eminem Show, Curtain Call & Encore to a million :)
January 3, 201411 yr I have a feeling Halcyon could do at the very end. It's only got about 350k to go? Maybe I'm being optimistic but I think it's going to reach 900k at least.
January 3, 201411 yr Babel is the obvious choice only 18/19k to go so could well do it in Jan. I have been thinking for weeks has an album passed the 1m since Emilie Sande that was released afterwards?
January 3, 201411 yr Author I have been thinking for weeks has an album passed the 1m since Emilie Sande that was released afterwards? Olly Murs and One Direction did it recently.
January 4, 201411 yr P!nk - The Truth About Love may stand an outside chance? I know it's some 200k away, but it seems a pretty consistent seller.
