The first half of the album is incredible and so are the final three songs. It would be her best album, for me, if she cut those run of five average songs from ARTPOP to MJH.

i can't really say anything on the album is BAD (apart from donatella obviously) but some of it really just blends. with production like that, it really shouldnt, but when you throw it on every song...

 

the problem is some of the songs with middling scores have incredible bits, and then really terrible bits - a bit more refining / reigning in of some of the ideas would've sorted it.

What I can't get over is how incredible Do What U Want is on almost all levels. I really never thought she'd make a song like that again and I was utterly blown away the first time I heard it. So simple yet so Gaga at the same time.

It's fantastically beautiful. My favourite ballad of hers.

 

I'm surprised at the lack of love for Fashion! I melt every time she sings "Cause your new look's ethereaaaaaal", at which the music changes.
