Agreed! I'm guessing some of the stroke relied on make-up but the rest would have just been acting (it did look a little computerized but I'm guessing it actually wasn't).

 

Cora was being a bit of a bitch but I still like her character. I'm guessing Patrick's stroke has brought back memories judging on the way she reacted.

Can someone actually lose the ability to act? Lititia was never at Meryl Streep standard, but she was a passable soap actress.

I am saddened by the news Maisie Smith aka Tiffany is leaving, she is a brilliant little actress and i do like the character a lot, i would much rather Liam leave which i do believe will happen not long after his family members depart.

So both Tiffany and Morgan are being forced to leave, as well as the Spraggans, because of Patsy Palmer. It is a real shame. I heard that Patsy is leaving because she wants to break Hollywood...

 

She is not THAT good of an actress. All she does is cry, scream and do nothing but 'work her ass of on a stall.' I have really grown to hate Bianca and her selfishness. She could have taken Carol's shifts at the cafe, seeing as she does nothing else, and Liam or someone could look after the stall for her. She is also the one who took out the loan, and it is Carol who sells all her stuff to pay the sharks?

Exactly Bianca is a selfish screaming banshee bitch, and like Billy, Alfie & Kat she ALWAYS acts like the world owes her something. They should kill her off to teach the actress a lesson about constantly leaving and coming back.

Surely she must have been offered to be a regular in the past? I think it's probably too late for her to be made a regular anyway, she seems to have gathered a lot of love just as an extra. Perhaps she could have some more speaking roles though like she did for an episode following Roxy earning the Vic in Archie's will.

 

In regards to Patsy leaving EE, I'm sure it's because she's moving and wants to spend more time with her family. I've not heard anything about her wanting to crack Hollywood. For the record I do think she's a good actress, not Hollywood worthy, but definitely good - all the negative points listed in here are just her character traits, not her acting ability.

What a fantastic episode! I did not expect Anthony's return at all, what a great surprise!

 

Ian is so incredibly selfish. 'I'll go see him myself' ~ Why? It's not as if him and Patrick have any kind of relationship. :lol: I think him recovering from a major stroke is more important than Ian hiding the fact he slept with Rainie.

I was wondering if he would return, following his appearance in that magazine, but I was still surprised to see him in tonight's episode.

 

Made me laugh when he mentioned Zoe to Kat - since Kat's return in 2010 she seems to have forgotten she has a daughter! :lol:

That was a flying visit, I was expecting Anthony to stay longer at least until Patrick gets better, I'm guessing he is tied to Casualty or is it Holby City its one of those 2 I don't watch them anyway.

 

I must admit Patrick is a wonderful actor, been a fan of him since his days in the comedy series Love Thy Neighbour (an early 70s sitcom), in fact all 4 actors from Love Thy Neighbour have appeared in EE over the past 29 years.

I just don't get it, it's really jarring seeing someone who pops up every so often who never speaks and with no agency of herself. They should make her a regular, her money would basically increase x10 or more I reckon!

Sharon used to be a great character, I think Eastenders bosses are still giving her big storylines because of past form, but it's clear that Letita Dean is just portraying a parody of the character Sharon once was now.

 

Lindsey Coulson on the other hand gets better and better, Carol was always a relatively strong character in the 90s, came back in 2010 and sadly got sidelined for a year or two but is now deservedly at the forefront of some powerful storylines.

 

It's strange, in 1993-5 when I first started watching it, I'd never have imagined Carol developing into a more watchable character than Sharon!

Last night EE dropped to 4m viewers - just 300k off its lowest all time figure (3.97m in July 2006). It was a result of a big clash with Emmerdale. The show will probably struggle the next two weeks as well because it will be moving to BBC Two with the Commonwealth Games on BBC One.

EE has already matched that 3.97m low this year (13 June, due to another clash with Emmerdale).

 

I don't think the move to BBC 2 will affect the ratings much more than they have been recently (they've switched to BBC2 in the past and it's not dented ratings too badly). EE has been struggling ever since the BGT live shows, although all soaps have been in the same boat with football and now how weather. I'm sure ratings will pick up when summer is over, especially since September to December seems like it will be massive in terms of stories for EE.

Tracy is actually quite a developed character. She's divorced has a son, AND slept with Phil and Ian :o
