Robbie in Monaco

Thanks Elisabeth thumbsup2013 , here is the translated version

Between her hits and a series of standard times "swing" , Robbie Williams has unveiled several facets on the scene Saturday night at Monaco Sporting . Delivering a 90-minute show , very successful .

Who said that Robbie Williams had taken a shot of old ? While the beautiful Robbie few years ... and a few pounds more . But he kept his energy and still doing well tuxedo . His stage outfit last night for a unique concert at the Monaco Sporting Summer . The British singer has played so chicpour open the season . "Hello everybody ," he says to the public, ending sing " Let me entretain you " to open the show.

" I am Robert Peter Williams ," he is present . But it is a multifaceted Robbie who put on a show . Tails , the pop singer who swung open a few tubes that from the outset boosted the 1300 spectators en Star crowded configuration while sitting for once. Side face , which puts a crooner in the footsteps of Frank Sinatra or Dean Martin to take an inventory of swing songs from the 30-60 . And the style , as well as his three-piece tuxedo , is like a glove.

Rock DJ

Accompanied by a full orchestra , he gets to the Rat Pack to himself. And it works . Like a James Bond music, Robbie pulls it off by taking the resulting " Puttin ' On the Ritz " or the jazzy " Minnie the Moocher ." Even when it's dripping on the nightingale " That's amore ", even inviting a spectator to virtually marry him! I must say that Robbie Williams is pooch with her audience. And has not spared , using humor to entertain the audience . Making fun of Justin Bieber, imitating Elvis or Bono , taking Queen , Jay- Z , Ray Charles . In 90 minutes, he proved last night that he was a real jukebox. A Rock DJ as he sang at the beginning of the show with a set list "made for Monaco ," he says .

Set list to which are added , in return , its stainless " Feel " and " Angels ". Who reminded the audience why they love Robbie for so long.

Review: Robbie Williams still has the pull, if not the songs

Robbie Williams played Odyssey Arena last night

BY MICHAEL CONAGHAN – 14 JUNE 2014

The second decade of the 21st century has not been especially kind to those pop stars who came of age either side of the millennium.

But Robbie Williams is a figure tailor-made for the big event, so despite the inevitable career stutters there is always a Jubilee, an Olympics or hey, a World Cup to hang on the coat-tails of.

He still has a big star's pulling power, with a sell-out multi-hued crowd buzzing with anticipation at the Odyssey. You know the audience are up for it when the roadies get an unironic cheer.

He duly emerged from beneath the stage in penguin suit and regulation cheeky grin with opening pop stomper Shine My Shoes.

For all the pizzazz of the first part of the evening, there's no real sense of engagement with the classic American songbook that peppers the show, the dance routines are rather desperate and Robbie is more Freddy Starr than Fred Astaire.

An exception was the subtly Brechtian Everyone Hates A Fat Pop Star, which saw our hero hoisted and stuffed by his own petard or someone else's, and despite the comedy, hinted at the self-loathing beneath the glitz.

The Hollywood satire that was Swing Both Ways had genuine wit and invention, like 10cc at their most cinematic.

Arch and knowing as he is, one senses that Williams believes in the cause of the great entertainer, perhaps because his own back catalogue has its longueurs.

Robert Peter Williams, by all means let him entertain you, but Angels aside, it will always be more artifice than art.

Williams floats up the Lagan in a Buble style

WHEN you do something well you can't help but think it's a good idea to do it again.

For Robbie Williams, the success of his album Swing When You're Winning back in 2001 was clearly enough to encourage him to release Swings Both Ways 12 years later.

In between, Westlife tried their hand at rat-pack imitation and Michael Buble has cornered the market well for old-timey songs that appeal to middle-aged women.

So did Robbie's trick work a second time around? It was certainly popular with his already very loyal fans.

It had been a while since the cheeky chappie played Belfast - he's gone for larger venues in Dublin on his past few tours like the Aviva last year - and the crowd love him. Adore him. Are nostalgic for him in Take That and starting fights with the Gallagher brothers. All he has to do is walk to the mic for raucous applause. His attempts at modern pop music have been dreadful. Candy is one of the worst songs ever to be banned from Radio One but the niche swing music is enjoyable and possibly even good. Tea dances, not clubs, should be Robbie's mantra for future albums.

Decked in a tux complete with tails and waistcoat, Robbie was channelling his inner Frank Sinatra. His set was like a prop from Baz Luhrmann's Gatsby - three storeys of a swanky hotel, a full jazz band and tap dancers. It was most definitely a spectacle.

As an entertainer, Robbie is high energy and unexpected. After singing some classic swing he started chanting "Belfast, Belfast" before an impromptu Mick Jagger impersonation and some a cappella (Can't get no) Satisfaction.

Robbie's famous humour came out when he asked: "Does anyone remember the nineties? I was there. Like an overweight Justin Bieber."

The hotel interior backdrop became an Opera house as Robbie sang in a fat suit on a harness how "no one likes a fat popstar".

Thirty-four-year-old Kerry-Anne was called up on stage and asked to be Robbie's showbiz wife. The priest was songwriter Guy Chambers.

Kerry-Anne only agreed to the wed-ding because there was no pre-nup. He was enamoured by her bum bag.

Clearly he loves everything that reminds him of the nineties. Even Robbie has been watching Glee and performed a barber sharp quintet rendition of RKelly's Ignition.

That was followed by monkeys in suits dancing to a jungle drum beat - which seemed odd until Robbie came out wearing a monkey head and sang I Wanna Be Like You, King Louis's song from Disney's The Jungle Book. Because Robbie is the king of the swingers. He told us. Just in case you didn't know.

Children from Belfast preparatory schools Inchmarlo and Victoria College joined the international popstar to sing High Hopes. The kids looked fit to burst with happiness singing their hearts out. It was a shrewd move from the Stoke showman. Tugging on our wee heart strings. he also sang Happy Birthday for Cathy, who looked like she was going to die of embarrassment. And maybe kill her friend. Another audience member called Roisin had a sign saying it was her birthday and only got a wee rushed serenade.

With both his songs from Swing Both Ways and a plethora of classics including Putting on the Ritz, Hit the Road Jack and That's Amore, Williams certainly can entertain you and as a performer is ageing gracefully.

Tickets still available for the O2 London if anyone interested in going. I got an e mail today about it.

I'm really surprised it isn't completely sold out.
