In order of preference after one listen~

Ghosttown - beautiful. Can see it being a single eventually. She never really does ballads in this style!

Devil Pray - adore the chorus / breakdown in this. Freaked out vocals WORK.

Living For Love - "picked up my crown, put it back on my head" YES do it.

Bitch, I'm Madonna - this will probably be HATED on here but i actually kinda love it lol. Nicki's feature is amazing again.

Illuminati - really not sure how to respond to this. Iconic opening but lyrically a bit of a mess. Fun though~

Unapologetic Bitch - o. the sort of stuff i don't really want her to be doing. Check again in a few months and it will probably be my favourite like all of her mess songs but atm no.

Top 3 are amazing and up there with Rebel Heart & Wash All Over Me <3

19 tracks, holly molly!

Now I want these five tracks but don't want to pre-order the album as I'll buy it physically - dilemma!

Get them illegally, then. Since you're buying the album there should be no moral issues.

LOVE the artwork - if anyone's seen the video for Sia's 'Buttons', that's what it reminded me of! And as Haus said, YES to the album being called Rebel Heart as opposed to Bitch, I'm Madonna. :P The new single is 'Living For Love', check out the single thread for news and discussion on that.
Jus heard clips of the five new tracks on iTunes. Devil Pray and Ghosttown are my favourites but don't care much for the others. I'm sorry to say this but I'm disappointed with the sound. I think she can do a lot better and reminds me of some of the stuff on MDNA which was very mediocre. Compare the new stuff to tracks on confessions, ray of light or music and it just doesn't stand up.

I don't think we expected an album on par with Confessions but just hoped for anything that's a step-up from her last two albums! Hope the songs grow on you!

I don't use iTunes so is there anywhere I could listen to these new songs? I was hoping the audios would have been uploaded to Madonna's YouTube account but only 'Living for Love' is there.

I find it unhealthy to compare new Madonna music (or ANY music ever) to 'Confessions...'. If that was the case i'd be disappointed with everything i ever heard. From these new tracks (well from ~4 of them and 'Rebel Heart' and 'Wash All Over Me') the quality seems to be on the up considerably. There are some real wtf moments like 'Illuminati' but i have come to expect that from her now

And Liam i have a link to the tracks but it also links to illegal downloads for them so won't be able to post it on the forum. I can PM you?

Yes please!

Hard Candy and MDNA >>>>>>>>> Confessions On A Dancefloor and Ray Of Shyte.

i don't understand how anybody could live in a world where 'confessions' and 'ray' are seen as poor compared to 'mdma' or 'hard candy', i'm all for different opinions but like simple sense says this to be incorrect, in terms of quality lyrics, production, concept and thought -- all of which are missing from from those last two albums and chuck in chasing the zeitgeist with diminishing returns...

I really don't care what people say, but I go back to and enjoy HC and MDNA much more than RoL and Confessions. I find the latter two dull and overly samey, RoL

especially.

What's your favourites from Hard Candy and MDNA? I think there's definitely a few gems on both (less so on the latter mind).

HC: 4 Minutes, Devil Wouldn't Recognise You, Miles Away, Candy Shop (:kink:) and Heartbeat

MDNA: Gang Bang, Superstar, Masterpiece, Beautiful Killer, I Fucked Up

Both of those albums have huge highlights (a lot of which Regina has mentioned up there) and i don't like to knock them as much as i did when they first came out. My only issue is that they are just that, huge highlights and then everything else falls apart around them. I definitely get a lot of enjoyment out of them both, but if i was to sit down and listen to an entire album it would definitely be any of the others (Confessions, then Ray of Light, then True Blue in particular).

Audios have been uploaded onto YouTube (not by Madonna's official account so apologies if they get deleted, although since they're not leaks I'm sure they'll be fine):

'Ghosttown' is proving to be a highlight for me. I agree with Haus that 'Bitch, I'm Madonna' sounds like something most will hate yet I really like it! I think out of the three Nicki Minaj collabs Madonna has done, this is the one that works best. With 'Rebel Heart' and 'Wash All Over Me' also being on the album and being fantastic, I know I'm going to really love it!

So as someone who's more of a casual Madonna fan (not heard any of her albums before), I listened to the new tracks and this is my ranking:

1. Devil Pray

2. Living For Love

3. Ghosttown

^ all REALLY good, very impressed

4. Bitch, I'm Madonna

^ huge hot mess. I kinda like it? The zip sound at the end is quite odd though lol

5. Unapologetic Bitch

^ OK ~

6. Illuminati

^ not that keen

It's looking quite good so far on the whole tbh, let's hope there's more like the first three tracks.

HC: 4 Minutes, Devil Wouldn't Recognise You, Miles Away, Candy Shop (:kink:) and Heartbeat

MDNA: Gang Bang, Superstar, Masterpiece, Beautiful Killer, I Fucked Up

No 'Dance 2night'? Justin would be sad! :P I generally agree with you (I'd replace some with 'Give It 2 Me', 'She's Not Me' and 'I'm Addicted') and I find these highlights are enough to make me listen to the albums in full and enjoy them.

(Listen to Confessions :kink:)

I think your Top 3 will be the ones the majority will like most; the last three could be considered a little harsh on the ears. I don't know if you've heard 'Rebel Heart' or 'Wash All Over Me' that were leaked a couple of weeks ago but I think you'll like them. Both Avicii produced.
