Good to see the album up to #6 on iTunes :) #3 if you take out compilations.

Edit #5/#2

Edited by Joe.

My album wont arrive till Saturday ;_; and the autorip feature isn't working so I can't download it, I am cry.
#1 on the Tuesday UK Update Chart with sales of 20,078. Both MDNA and Hard Candy opened with 33k and ended with 56k/94k respectively.
So, using a similar metric to MDNA then that would mean she is on course for about 36k. Indeed even that might be a bit high given that 20k is probably very heavy on pre-orders. That really is a lot less than I expected tbh.
Yeah, 36k does seem underwhelming, especially considering MDNA almost did that in its first update. It would still easily be enough to debut officially at #1 which is what we wanted.
I don't think it's enough. Even though his sales are down at the moment, all those sales for Sam are gonna come flooding in on Friday and Saturday after Comic Relief and with Mother's Day approaching; I'd bet on her settling for #2. The Jonathan Ross Special should have been on this Saturday just gone.
I keep forgetting about Comic Relief! Yeah that may put a spanner in the works. I don't think Mother's Day will be too much of an issue as surely Madonna would get a slight boost too.
It will probably be relatively close, but by the time Comic Relief is on there will only be just over a day of selling left. It all depends how much of a lead she has by that point in the week, if she can keep it above 5k then she should be good.

Decent job! 'Devil Pray' could make a good single, perhaps a tad safe aside from the drug references, but if that caters for the MOR radio stations, that's what is needed.

Amazon data missing from the sales so far, that'll be a big difference for Madge.

Just listened to it for the fifth time since I received the album on Sunday and I'm not tiring of it. It's such an eclectic and colourful work yet fairly coherent (I would rearrange some of the tracks, though). For an album with so many songs Madonna and team did a good job on the whole with the structuring and ordering of the record.

Messiah and Wash All Over Me remind me of the ballads from Like a Prayer, the former in particular is like a sequel to (Pray For) Spanish Eyes. Body Shop is growing on me as well; the production and instrumentation is great and it's her vocals, particularly in the verses, and lyrics that are taking some time for me to get used to.

The songs that I'm really loving at the moment the most are Devil Pray, Ghosttown, Joan of Arc, Heartbreak City, Holy Water, Wash All Over Me, Messiah, Veni Vidi Vici, Addicted and Graffiti Heart.

Comparing to past albums is not really fair. Album sales these days are dire unfortunately.

Jonathan Ross may keep the album selling well in week 2 .

If this is true then that's great. I know the Tuesday mids can be a little off but missing data didn't really cross my mind this week.

Anyone else having trouble choosing which of the 3 album covers to use on itunes? I love them all.
I was leaning more to the Super Deluxe one tbh  I like the black and red.
