If her previous comments are to go by, it seems this will get a release of some sort, a promo single at least. I think that would be a good idea and stick to the Radio 2/Heart friendly songs for official singles - 'Joan of Arc' fits this bracket best I think.

Speaking of Heart, I'm a little frustrated that they've played Holiday and Material Girl today, but won't support the new single which fits their listener base perfect.

She could so now do an audience with kinda show using all these performances .

1. Bitch I'm madonna

2. Devils pray

3. Joan of arc

4. Living for love

5. Ghosttown

6. Hold tight I think this could be a future single.

7. Old classic hit

That Fallon performance was electric. I love Bitch I'm Madonna; the drop and the production are crazy original.

Still loving the album. This era has been fantastic so far.

:P

It's on UK TV tonight 11pm channel 505

:P

I can't view that video; what is it? :P Edit: Oh God, the Harlem Shake, stop plz. :P

I listened to the original demos and I think I prefer the Iconic demo to the original, or at least parts of it, particularly the second half from the breakdown onwards. I also enjoy the Rebel Heart and Hold Tight demos perhaps as much as the finals, but otherwise she chose all the right versions to appear on the album. Really shocked at how poor the original demo of Holy Water is; the worst song of the lot became one of the best with the strongest production! :o

#28 in the UK - it's done well to keep climbing throughout the week.

Ooh no, no no in regards to the 'Iconic' demo! I do agree that the 'Rebel Heart' demo is great though - even better than the final version for me, in fact! I also have a huge soft spot for the 'Wash All Over Me' demo although I can appreciate that the final version was best for the album.

I also agree that the 'Holy Water' demo is bad but I find the final one of my least favourites on the album anyway.

It was #34 in the first midweek update so that's great to see. MDNA was also #28 in its fifth week with a chart run of 1-7-13-13-28.

The Wash All Over Me demo has grown on me however it works much better as a contemporary ballad than as a dance song. I'm also really enjoying the Messiah demo which has a richer string and orchestral arrangement -- I wonder why it was decided that the final version should be toned down. I like the stripped back demo of Joan of Arc too although it's stellar in whatever form it comes in.

#37 in the first update - I'm sure it'll have no trouble moving up a few places by Sunday. Also, its sales last week of almost 2.6k take its total to Silver level at 61.9k.
If she comes here and does any kind of promotion for another single I can see it going Gold.
I think it's best that Bitch I'm Madonna is released as the third single. I don't necessarily want it to be released -- I would like to see Devil Pray and Joan of Arc released, and I think that Iconic sounds very single-worthy too. However a few performances of the song will help the album out a lot if the effect from the Jimmy Fallon promotion in the US is anything to go by.
I don't know, the only, limited airplay she does get is the R2 type stations and I wouldn't want to see her getting 0 airplay, R2 would not play this.

That's what I think. She does have to play it safe in regards to singles and please the people who will play her. I suppose 'Bitch I'm Madonna' would get people talking for the song itself and the video that would go with it, but I think people would take one look and think she's either being self-obsessed or desperate to get young audiences. Shame really as this is the sort of thing I could imagine being played in a club and people would enjoy if it wasn't by Madonna.

It's just a shame that radio 2 only playlisted ghosttown !

Even colleagues at work who listen to the song on the station have told me how good it is !!

Heart and magic just content on playing her old classics.

Well, Rebel Heart is so diverse that she could release dual singles and play on the album's theme of having two split personalities: she could release something that radio will play and then Bitch I'm Madonna could get club play and a video that could potentially go viral. I don't see what she'd have to lose.

Bitch I'm Madonna actually came on in the club while I was out the other night and people went crazy for it; that drop is everything.

I suppose they could do - like you say, it can only benefit her as there really is nothing to lose!

Also, I'm thrilled 'BIM' got a good reception at the club you went to. It really is something I could imagine younger people would like if they were to hear it without choice (that sounds bad but what I mean is usually people wouldn't bother listening if they knew something was by Madonna!).

I need to go clubbing with you at some point MrIndepedent :D

I agree that a dual single release would work best, but if not 'Bitch I'm Madonna' alone would suffice as a bit of a gamble.

Also on the album, 'Addicted' is the latest song to properly hit me
