I echo what Liam said.

That quashes those rumours of Cowell trying to bag her for an X-Factor slot this year then, I did know we were unlikely to get it this year.

I'm seriously rooting for her to bring it and prove her doubters* wrong.

*I probably put myself in this bracket too.

GIVE ME SOME HUNG UP TEA, MADONNA.

Exactly what I was thinking! I long for a Confessions Part 2 - may be repeating herself but it would be more impressive than recent output.

Even if it is unlikely, I still want an X Factor performance this year. Perhaps she could drop the lead single before Christmas? :teresa:

I would prefer Madonna's next album to be more along the lines of Confessions than Hard candy or MDNA. Confessions is the last decent thing she has actually done but I suspect the new album will be more like MDNA unfortunately.

I think it's pretty safe to say it will be out march / April time.

Diplo confirmed for BBC Radio One that the first single for Madonna’s upcoming album was recorded last week in New York and that she is going to use 5 or 6 songs from the session.

Madonna has posted a pic with her and Nicki Minaj maybe GMAYL 2 ? Lol
I don't mind the idea of Madonna collaborating with Nicki Minaj again, but the song itself just has to be good. With 'Give Me All Your Luvin'' I found it catchy and fun but it's not the sort of record Madonna should be making, especially not to kick start your album campaign with! Hopefully she's learnt from her mistakes last era but I'm still unsure.

:/

Nicki and Madonna could actually be a good pairing, because Nicki does the ballad stuff quite well too, so something more mellow could work, maybe. If she dares do anything remotely similar to GMAYL i will flip.

I was thinking that too, although I can't picture what it could sound like. Has any songs that Nicki has been a featured act been ballads? Only singles like 'Right Thru Me' and 'Fly' are springing to mind, but obviously they're not comparable since Nicki has lead vocals.

MNEK speaks about working with Madonna:

Madonna track sounds wicked, says MNEK

MNEK has described Madonna's new material as "wicked".

The British singer-songwriter has been in the studio with the US icon to work on a track for her forthcoming new album, which is due out in 2015.

"I almost get quite scared talking about it," MNEK told Digital Spy at the MOBO Awards launch. "It's happened, obviously. I did meet Madonna and I did work with her.

"It was great and amazing. The song sounds wicked - I'm really proud of it. Diplo's dope, Madonna's dope, her people are great and that side of things is working out great."

He added: "I think my focus has to be on my project now."

Asked how work on the debut album is coming along, MNEK said: "We need more singles! Classic A&R talk... I'm proud of the album and it's out next year - like, summer next year."

MNEK is nominated for Best Newcomer at the MOBO Awards 2014, with Sam Smith and Krept & Konan leading this year's list.

Alicia Keys has spoken about featuring on Madonna's forthcoming album.

The 'Girl On Fire' singer spoke to Vibe about working on the star's new record, describing the process as "casual and cool"

"It was good. I was in here doing a meeting or something and she was working with Diplo," Keys explained.

"They were like, 'Oh, maybe you can play some piano on this thing'. And I was like, 'Alright. I'll try. If you hate it, you can take it off'. It was just like that, casual and cool."

Madonna's dancers play my music during her rehearsals and workouts every week. She writes incredible lyrics, sings beautiful melodies, but most of all she is so f***ing funny

Natalia Kills, who was invited to the studio by Madonna, along with producer and Cherrytree Records boss Martin Kierszenbaum, asked how the collaboration came about in a new interview on PaperMag.com.
