As we all know, the boys began their journey on The X Factor back on its seventh series in 2010. Were you fans of them then? Did you like their performances? Share your thoughts here!

I vividly remember seeing Liam, Harry and Niall on X Factor (or Xtra Factor for Niall, and Zayn and Louis' ones weren't televised), and I never really forgot their names or their auditions (even before 1D happened) so they were among my favourites. Loved Harry especially from the moment I saw him - knew there was something good there (more than just his looks). They weren't my faves during the live shows (I preferred Treyc Cohen and Rebecca Ferguson at the time) but I'd now class them as my overall favourites from the show.

 

Best performance = Something About The Way You Look Tonight (or Torn at judges' houses)

Worst performance = Viva la Vida (week 1 tbf, things weren't entirely spot on then)

Who can forget Zayn STORMING OFF THE STAGE because he didn't want to do the dance routines XD

Classic moment :kink: All of this still seems so vivid in my head, like it were only yesterday. :lol:

I'm sorry but loyalty is with Rebecca, she was the clear winner from the start and after listening to her music you'd think she should be as big as Adele. As much as 1D are great, Rebecca is superior, sorry guys :* xoxo

I must say I didn't really take notice of them when they were on the show; I was much more interested in Rebecca who was the clear winner from that year! :wub:

 

But I've since watched all of their performances and I'd say 'She's the One' is my favourite. Zayn in all of them though, omg. Had it back then, has it EVEN MORE now <3

Zayn most certainly was NOT the star of the band back then. :lol: It was pretty rare for anyone other than Liam or Harry to get a solo tbf.

I never said he was - neither was I referring to his vocals. :kink:

I hated them on X-factor, I just wanted to punch them all in the face, except Niall <3

Their X factor performances were mostly terrible. The only one I liked was "Kids in America". Rebecca was my favourite that year by a country mile.

I remember the X Factor threads on BuzzJack. Every week they'd get slated. The judges would call it magnificent. While I thought they were good, they weren't as good as the judges had you believe, and not as bad as most people on here would have you believe! Liam and Harry got all the solos back then (purely because they were the best vocalists).

 

2010 was the year X Factor peaked in general tbh. Wagner singing LOAF SHACK and Cher Loyd visiting her primary school were my favourite moments.

I hated them on X-Factor. Loathed them actually.

 

 

I think the reason for the backlash on here was the massive difference between their actual performance and the feedback they will given by the judges. It also didn't help their backing vocals/track was on so loud especially on the chorus's.
