Omg best news ever!!

Cilla Battersby-Brown is returning for 6 weeks from October

:cheer:

Easily one of, if not the favourite character of mine in any soap, past and present. Every line of hers was comedy gold!

I started off disliking her - then I found her funny (obnoxious but funny) a lot of the time - then I found the act wore thin and at the end I don't think she was missed. It will be interesting to see her again. I do think though, that with Beth serving essentially the same purpose, maybe Cilla will be surplus to requirements.

Anyone know when Ken's supposed to be returning? Deirdre talked to him the other day!

Eccles the dog is going to be savaged by another dog in a future storyline. Maybe that co-incides with his return!

Why is Nick treating Leanne like shit?! Is this all because she was seeing Kal? Her and Nick weren't even together when she got with him! Really can't stand Nick's character since he had that accident last year.

Not too sure what to think about Cilla returning. She was ridiculously OTT and wouldn't fit into todays Corrie unless they toned her down a fair bit.

Yes I think so but also he's a can short of a 4 pack after his crash. Must have affected his thinking.

I think Nick is closer to four cans short of a four pack

His character has changed for the worse.

It's hard to believe he's played by the same guy that was Conrad in Footballers Wives. He looks so different now.

Oh my GOD, Deirdre's "you're not taking Eccles into custody?!?" line had me bursting out laughing. She's just fantastic

Todd seriously needs to take his leave. WHY have they made his character SO detestable? :puke:

"We used to call her Pip amongst ourselves, which we thought incredibly bold" #yolo what a rebel.

The actress who plays Andrea is the worst crier ever

Rita is driving me mad, I hope Dennis screws her over.

You're right about Andrea - mind you - she's a match for Lloyd - Craig Charles is one of the worst actors in soapland!

I didn't even notice Rita in tonight's episodes (was she in any?)

I want to know what Davina McCall's interest is in the closing down of a library!!!! I never thought her so high-brow!

Andrea is a very boring character and i certainly agree Llyod is one of the worst actors in soapland, his storylines never interest me as i cant buy into him, ideally both characters would axed soon.

I'm just so annoyed that with the death of Tina - they had the excellent chance of getting rid of a crap actor like Craig Charles (surely they could have made some reason for him to kill Tina) and instead they're getting rid of a good actor (Baylis) and reasonably likeable character (Rob) instead.

My GOD, Corrie's boring right now. The whole aftermath of Tina's death + the Andrea/Lloyd storyline seem to be just dragging ON and ON

Don't worry it gets good soon with

Faye being accused of shagging lots of lads next week after Anna reads a text. Leading up to the pregnancy storyline now.

Anything involving Anna is a major plus in my book  Her acting was incredible tonight, especially when she started physically shaking.

Whilst I do admire Debbie Rush's acting I intensely dislike the character of Anna. She's been made into this 'mother earth' figure who is responsible for holding 'the family' together - when in fact - it was her crass stupidity that has brought them to the pitiful stage they're at now. I also disliked her for her (and Owen's) treatment of Tim when he first arrived when his only crime was to want to see his own daughter.

I feel sorry for Faye living with them.

Actually when you think about it, really it was Gary stupidly hitting Phelan that led to the mess they're in. Ex-soldier and too handy with his fists.

But Silly-Bint Anna knew what a loose cannon Gary is and yet she still told Izzy 'in confidence' (don't they know NOTHING is in confidence) about Phelan making a pass at her. And to be honest - Anna made very much a mountain out of a molehill. There was one simple way to deal with Phelan and that was to never be in his company.

Anyway - as I said before - this dilemma they're in now is a little bit of Karma for their treatment of Tim.
