Sally's comment to the vicar about the sofa was the solitary glimmer of enjoyment in tonight's episode. I've been a Corrie fan for years but even I've been bored lately. I do like young Craig though.

Christ ikr? Like I said, I like Beth so she was ok but why did that wedding get like the whole episode? There wasn't even a Sally and Tim side story (aside from them christening their sofa which wasn't much really), the only """relief""" we had was Michelle and her date which was even worse... I don't even actually like any of Beth's family (as in her mother, sister and nan) much, they're kind of like really exaggerated personifications of Beth's flaws. I like Craig though I guess, and at least her family are only there for the wedding I think, except Sinead unfortunately.

Hopefully things pick up when

Sarah

comes back! I'm so excited for that, especially given the soap is in such a lull right now to say the least.

Beth is actually one of my favourite characters and I enjoyed the wedding! A lot of fun really.

We do need some dramatic stuff happening though, the last thing was Tina's murder and that didn't even feel that exciting to me anyway.

I know, this annoyed me too! I don't think this story should have dominated as much as it did especially as there's been stronger stories in previous episodes that only got a few moments in between those 'comedy' scenes!

They really need to get rid of Kirk, the actor is awful how he's lasted this long is beyond me.

I'm hoping the upcoming crash story will add some more drama as at the moment I can't watch this show now, its a mess but I'm sure it will turn itself around in time

The wedding episodes were okay, little silly could be better. Meh.
The Dev and Mary scenes were lovely tonight. The less said about Les Dennis and Gail the better :puke2:

Its these little gems about Corrie that they (the producers) should be making the most of. This and the 'trio' of Sally, Tim and Kevin. I'm even actually liking Cal's father at the moment. Tony has become the most believable threatening baddies in soap of recent years.

I agree - the Gail (and I like Gail) and Michael story is just boring for boring's sake!

The way they ended with Michael running into the night after Gail turned him down..............there are no words
Must be the longest gap between the public being told about a storyline and it actually being broadcasted!

So Gail will now be Gail Potter-Tylsley-Platt-Hillman-McIntyre-Rodwell!

I bet Michael gets killed in that

coach crash

though before it gets that far!

Is it too early to call Mary an icon?

I don't think it is. Mary is one of the few good things about Corrie at the moment. I want her to make a move on Roy and do some Castling!

Sarah and Bethany's return plot has been revealed (I'll spoiler just in case, it's not had MUCH given away though):

Bethany runs away from Milan and comes to Weatherfield, "Gavin" aka Andy sees her in the pub and buys her a drink and flirts without knowing who she is, until Gail comes in... Then sarah has to come back for her and she refuses to go back so I assume they just stay.

New Bethany casting is revealed too! she looks about 19/20 to me but they are making a thing out of how grown up she is and what a handful she is. The actress is 19 but it's not as bad as Wallis Day as Holly Cunningham in Hollyoaks who looked literally about 25 when Holly was meant to be 14

Why do Corrie always do this, Nick is like 10 years older than his character too, also odd theres like 7 years or something silly between Gail & Audrey in real life.

Apparently the actress is 25, not 19. The press release telling fibs.~

Oh god  Regardless of whether she looks around 19 or not that's ridiculous given Tina O'Brien is 31. Although Simon is right that there's like 7 years between Gail and Audrey's actresses.
