This crash is the most exciting thing that's happened on the show in a while, but it'd have been even better if it didn't involve awful or useless people like Alya, Michelle, Sinead and Sean.

Is it just me or was there a bit of a continuity error in the wondering where Carla was? One scene they assume she's gone off with Michelle and Steve and the next they're shocked when she's not accounted for.

I assumed that as they knew Steve had wondered off - and he was at the front, next to Carla - that perhaps she had got out as well.

 

I had a horrible feeling they may kill Maddie off the way she was being so heroic and everything (hope they don't do this!!!!) Wouldn't mind them killing Sinead off though - totally pointless character that she is.

There were loads of tweets but I didn't post it until I saw the itv post, I thought and hoped it was one of those hoax things :( It's so gutting, Anne was the best thing about the Street.

Same here, Whitney has to be the last one that shocked and saddened me this much :( Especially considering how much her character lit up the screen whenever she was on with her absolutely impeccable comic timing.

Corrie has lost a true star tonight. Deirdre(and Anne) always felt like part of the family, and to never see her in Corrie again is truly heartbreaking.

 

RIP Anne, A real icon.

It will no doubt change the storylines in CS and I'm dreading her soap funeral which will no doubt be on screen.

Easily one of my favourite comedy moments of any soap! Blanche is definitely the star of the scene but Deirdre's input is hilarious as well!

Very saddened to hear of the news of Annes passing, i did like her character on the show. I thought she worked brilliantly in the comedy department during Kens absence. I did not know she was unwell so when i heard the news i was shocked. She was one of the few characters worth watching on the show in recent times.
