I've posted an 'artist behaviour' poll in The Lounge, if you're interested.

Thanks, I'll check it out :)

To bring this back on topic, Katy B is up to 69 on pre orders.

Duke Dumont is still doing reasonably well at 205, even though he hasn't been properly playlisted anywhere yet.

Katy B has done incredibly well to pull it back around since that non-event single in the summer which didn't do much.

Mind you, this and '5am' have been two truly excellent singles and I'm not normally a fan of hers (I've only really liked 'Broken Record' before this).

Sophie's 'Young Blood' now #65 and #67, chances of top 40 are slipping now I guess?

By my reckoning that puts it at #37 combined (not sure with other songs around it being combined, just adding them up on the main feed itself).

I hope it can!

The British public seemed fairly quick to banish James Arthur after he made a few mistakes on Twitter... Just his personal life though, isn't it?

(do however agree with the consensus that credible music = / = an artist having a polished personality)

The difference here being that James' music is awful as well as his personality :D

I agree with what Rob said though, an artist's personality is completely separate from their music as it isn't their job to have an agreeable personality. An artist being homophobic doesn't detract from the quality of their musical output.

'Crying For No Reason' is a very good song (as is '5 AM') and probably the best song of this era so far but IMO she still hasn't topped the quality of 'Katy On A Mission' and 'Broken Record' with any of her subsequent releases. Will still be good to see her getting another properly big hit though of course.

I've gotta say, I usually don't like Katy B at all yet I like this one and won't switch over when it plays.
Opps Justin Bieber has just been done for drink driving...never buying another one of his records again :P

I personally am shocked and outraged, OUTRAGED, I tell the!

I will now continue not listening to any of his songs or pay any attention to his 'music' based on this.

The only song in the top 10 that's even remotely disgusting is Timber. I don't know why people think it's funny to buy a song about murdering trees.

Actually amazing.

Did you buy any of them before?

Just 'Mistletoe' in xmas 2011

27. Can't Remember To Forget You (feat. Rihanna) - Shakira

Welp.

I think personality and music are inseparable really, at least those who write and compose their own music. They put their personalities and life experiences into songs. I find Tinie Tempah to be a boring individual from interviews, comments etc and I also find his music incredibly bland and uninspired too, all about parties and the bedroom. I find Chris Brown egotistical and I find his music to be the same. Nerina Pallot meanwhile is a deep and intelligent thinker, or so I think so from appearances, and the music bears this out. I think personality is often mirrored by music.

Couldn't get why people expected a no.1 position for this. This is not Beautiful Liar. I have no desire to hear it again. It's not hideous, just not interesting and unnecessary. If you're going to perform with Rihanna, make sure it's on a stellar, A-list song, not on album filler. Also, on the title Shakira :( . We went through the numbered album titles thing after the success of 21 and now looks like we're getting a slew of self-titled albums :/ .

Agree with this mostly, however some people use music as a way of expressing parts of their personality that people don't usually see. Bieber has a horrible personality and horrible music though, so I'm not going to waste my life bothering my thoughts about him.

20. Kid Ink ft Chris Brown- Show Me

First time this has been in the Top20, I think

52. Katy Perry ft Juicy J- Dark Horse

65. YG ft Jeezy & Rich Homie Quen- My Bigga

Why the sudden resurge for this?

81. Tinashe ft Schoolboy Q- 2 On

Where's this come from?

Show Me got top 20 on iTunes last year as well. I don't know why the Tinashe song is high, but now ScHoolboy Q is on 2 songs in the top 100.

Also:

99. Sage the Gemini - Gas Pedal (feat. IamSu)

Nice to see it back in the top 100! Everybody loves this song when it comes on in a club. I think it might be getting a mainstream push since there was a Justin Bieber remix released in the US recently.

Didn't Justin Bieber get arrested for having some ganja once?

:ne: 269. Rick Ross - No Games (Remix) [feat. Future, Wale & Meek Mill]

Rick Ross THE BAWSE! is back
