what's the diffrence between this server we're on now, and the new sserver. are their going to be many noticeable diffrences?

the server is moving (being unplugged, put in a truck and transported to the new datacenter) so there will be no change at all and no other expected issues.

Nothing lost. This time we are not moving server, the existing server is moving to a new location!

Worst case scenario the truck might take the wrong route. :P
