So this is the official follow up to the massive top 5 hit 'Booyah' and features vocals from american vocalist Matthew Koma (fresh from appearing on Hardwell's 'Dare You')

What do you think?!

For me, it does sound a little bit generic especially given how crazy Booyah was in terms of its style but this is still a worthy follow up! I don't see it troubling the top 10, but with Radio 1 support who knows I think this will be a grower!!

Matthew Koma seems to be everywhere at the moment  I hope this smashes, I do prefer 'We Like To Party' but this obviously has more commercial appeal. The version without his vocals has been around for over a year, too.
Capital Xtra are playing this loads at the moment and I've become really hooked on it. And 'We Like To Party', generally just LOVING Showtek at the moment. Their drops are so heavy and impactful.

Right, official video added

I have completely changed my mind about this now  I love this track so much and the video looks like there was a bit more to spend in the budget!!

Tune, hope this can smash into the top 10

I've edited the first post a little to include the 'Cannonball' in the thread title, plus artwork added. Hope you don't mind ^_^

Showtek's latest offering is here with a very unique title 'Cannonball (Earthquake)'.

After listening to the song you'll find out that the song is also very unique, it sounds nothing like a song called Braveheart by British girl band called Neon Jungle AT ALL. :P Yay for originality! :cheer: Anyway here it is...

All jokes aside it's actually quite a good song (but I absolutely LOVE Braveheart so liking this was inevitable really) and I like the vocals, I think I could get on board with Showtek. It's out on iTunes today if anyone wants it. What do you think?

Hey Callum! I see you're new to the forum, welcome to Buzzjack :D

In future can you please use the search function to make sure that a topic for the song hasn't already been made? I have merged the two 'Cannonball (Earthquake)' topics together.

And I'm pretty sure it doesn't rip off 'Braveheart' considering the original mix of 'Cannonball' was released in late 2012 (i.e. ages before 'Braveheart' happened) So yeah Neon Jungle are less original than you thought :P

I wasn't too fond of 'Booyah', but I LOVE this.

Bizarre that Radio 1 snubbed it though.

It's more than bizarre...it's criminal I'd understand if it was a crap record but it really isn't and given they supported Booyah I just don't get the reasoning behind not playing the follow up, even if it just stayed on the C list I'd have been happy

The other thing as well could be that they were playing Wizard from Martin Garrix so they might have snubbed it for that reason but that still doesn't make sense!

At least its looking good for a top 30 entry on Sunday which is a very small consolation!
