Yeah, I did enjoy this but I'm not sure it needs anything more than the odd Christmas special. They did quite well with Karen and Ben's jokes to make up for the fact they're no longer young saying silly hilarious things (they did this better than the last full series imo) but I don't think that would carry for another whole series.

I used to love this show and was excited about the special but I've just caught up and the spark was totally missing. :( I was actually finding it a chore to sit through, none of the jokes landed for me. Hope they don't do anymore specials if they're just going to be disappointing and tarnishing the name again.

 

Cuckoo is where it's at for BBC comedy now.

I found the first half quite dull, but once it got going I did enjoy it. It's certainly not a patch on the first couple of series, it felt very weird with the kids grown up. As others have said, hopefully the leave it alone now. As a huge fun of the original show, I don't want to see it come back again!
