Commentary : Whilst Indila stalls at 2 in France behind Pharrell Williams 9 week chart topper, the places are reversed on my chart this week as "Derniere Danse" topples "Happy" from the top. Number one for a 2nd week in the UK is "Rather be" by Clean Bandit which climbs on my chart from 14 to 6. John Legend's extensive chart run continues as "All of me" enters its 19th week inside my Top 10. The highest new entry at 16 is the Australian duo Parachute Youth with "Runaway" released a couple of months ago. Without explanation the duo this week announced it was splitting up which won't exactly help the promotion of this track which is a shame. At 18 is the latest from Romeo Santos. "Odio" is his 9th track on my chart since leaving Aventura in 2011 with "Mi Santa" ,"Llevame contigo" and "Propuesta indecente" all reaching number one, the latter finishing at 2 in my 2013 chart rundown. "You", "Promise", "Soberbio", "Frio Frio" and "Soberbio" all charted highly. "Odio" also enters the US Top 100 this week and features Drake who only recently left my chart with "Hold on we're going home" after a 20 week run inside the Top 20. At 19 is London singer Katy B riding high on the UK chart with "Crying for no reason" ...her Dad was a member of the Les Humphries Singers in the Seventies ! Finally at 20 is the 4th track to enter my chart from Avicci's album "True" following "Wake me up" and "Hey Brother" which both reached number one on my chart, and "You make me". "Addicted to you" is already charting in Australia and Europe.
