So all four Arctic Monkey's tracks finish in the Top 40 as well as both The Arcade Fire nominations and Chvrches as well.

Postiljonen and London Grammar also make it through as unfortunately does Tom Odell.

Who's gonna make the top 10 and which song will be crowned The Indie/Alt song of the year?

I hope "R U Mine?" is the first AM song to come up. I know it's slightly different on the album but it's really too much of a 2012 release. I'm also slightly hypocritical by giving big points to "The Mother We Share"
Wow, one of my nominations made the top 40! I'm pretty sure the top 10 will be mostly rubbish though ;)

A couple of forum favourites here with St. Lucia, (one of) Chvrches and Hearts going out here. Also surprisingly low is Laura Palmer considering the support it has had in the forum.

^ brilliant batch there. Bipp, Gun, Given the Chance, Á tout á l'heure and Elevate especially <3

Lots of old favourites here. Lorde probably at about the right position but it's not her highest song.

And no I don't know what Clean Bandit are doing here either. I missed that one.

I'd say Clean Bandit have as much right to be in the countdown as a lot of the pop stuff in here - CHVRCHES for instance? Mozart's House was pretty good I thought - don't like their current number one though.

Nice to see Middle-aged Scottish folk represented at 22 and 25.

Great to see The Kite String Tangle & Jagwar Ma do so well; national pride B-) Also rooting for the few favourites that I know haven't come up yet!

CHVRCHES are hardly chart pop?

Are we getting the top 10 all in one go or individually?

I'll be posting the Top 10 individually. I'll hopefully be able to start this later!

10. (277) Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Sacrilege

At #10 we have Yeah Yeah Yeahs who prove they can still turn out a gem of a tune (even if they couldn't quite sustain it over the course of the subsequent album.) The video is also worth a watch if you haven't seen it

And best use of a choir in 2013.

9. (282) Arctic Monkeys - R U Mine?

So here come the Monkeys with the first of 3 tracks in the Top 10. It was very much their year with another number one album culminating in their Brit Awards win and the most interesting speech from a Brits winner for quite a few years.

And yes this was released first in 2012 but it was on the album and eligible for the vote.

"R U Mine" is brilliant, though of course I charted it in 2012. "Sacrilege" is equally amazing, loving the gospel choir at the end. The album was really quite mediocre in comparison. :(

8. (299) Arcade Fire - Afterlife

So another album from Arcade Fire and another #1 album.

This is the first of two nominated tracks from them and both have made the Top 10.

7. (320) London Grammar - Wasting My Young Years

2013 was certainly a good year for London Grammar, producing an album that has continued to sell since it release and managing that rare (nowadays) feat of an indie band having top 40 hits.

6. (360) Bastille - Pompeii

Well you can't deny the success of this song in 2013 even if you're not overly fond of the track.

Funny how this has been used as an example of the return of guitar pop when you can hardly hear any...

...and the intro sounds too close to Orinoco Flow for comfort.

So we have 5 tracks left: Foals, Chvrches, Arcade Fire and two from the Monkeys.

The final countdown will be coming later....

Reflektor or Do I Wanna Know? to win.

Great to see The Throw so high, and Breathe This Air top 20 too.

You have the same London Grammar song at 7 & 11. I'm guessing one should be Strong? Hope it's the higher of the two! Good to see Pompeii missed out on the top 5.
