Difficult to call outside the top few this month. But I can't see a winner other than Artifice at the moment personally, it's more accessible than the other front runners. Jaded is accessible too, but I'm not sure if it shouts winner to me, even though songs of the genre have consistently done well recently. That said, it's still one of the strongest entries in the contest.

I think it's quite funny how I was tipped to win with Keep It Goin' Louder. And now I'm looking like coming DEAD LAST
NICE odds from Rich! I'm backing my current entry the most since something like Dead Can Dance and I'd love it to do well.

It's one of the catchiest songs in the contest, I'm confused at its weak odds thus far. It'd have walked away with the BJSC crown in 2008. I get that we're in a different era now but it should still make an impact.

My usual 45/1 odds again.:mansoncheer:

I am lost as to how people are putting 'Sugarbread' anywhere other than right at the bottom? I don't dislike it but it's going to appeal to literally about 10 people at a push surely.

'Artifice' would be a brilliant winner, easily one of my faves in the contest, but it'd slightly hurt after how badly 'The Wheel' underperformed (after getting good odds and all). I imagine this is how Randy felt when 'Embrace' smashed.

Really hoped Rich would rate my entry a bit higher than some :( I think I'm going to have to go back to the drawing board after the weekend...

Nothing personal Tom, I personally really like it. I just have to make the assumption what the wider audience will vote for.

I do think that Artifice has far more crossover appeal than The Wheel.

Ugh I'm coming for an almost last finish in the semi final again then :(
100/1 Singerpurear // Kyu Sakamoto - Ue O Muite Arukō

Sadly not, as lovely as it is, it's an incredibly famous song isn't it? I'm sure I've heard it a lot before!

If I remember my ~chartfacts~ correctly it is the only Japanese-language UK top 10 hit ever (and was the only UK top 10 hit in any East Asian language until PSY).

It's also the first and only Japanese-sung song to top Billboard Hot 100 and one of the few Asian language tracks overall to top that chart as well.

Ue O Muite Arukō is better known as Sukiyaki (if that hasn't been posted before)
