If it's the same quality as the single leak then I'm gonna hold off I think.
The album leaked in HQ. Stockholm Syndrome was HQ and I also heard Girl Almighty in HQ
Clouds is sooooo good!!
Maurice I don't know where you're hearing these but share with the group!!
Where Do Broken Hearts Go should be the 3rd single
I'm gonna wait till the full thing comes out, can't be long now. My usual places don't have it yet.
Where Do Broken Hearts go would be a better single than Night changes.
The full normal edition of the album is out there in HQ. So there are still FOUR songs we haven't heard yet. Might give the album a full rate after i watched Gogglebox .

So after my first run through of the standard my initial thoughts.

'Steal My Girl' really sticks out a like a sore thumb! Totally the going against the overall sound of the album which is definitely a throwback to the 60's. The ballads aren't really doing it for me yet, but they are usually the biggest growers when it comes to One Direction albums. (Unless the song is called 'Gotta Be You' :kink:) 'Where Do Broken Hearts Go' and 'Ready To Run' are the singles, really not sure why they've gone with 'Night Changes', it's nice but nothing we haven't heard before. 'No Control' is a BOP but unfortunately LOUIS is singing the chorus and I feel it'd be much better if Harry/Zayn/Liam had done it, it need some control (ooooh pun). Absolutely LOVING 'Stockholm Syndrome', gonna be hammering that the next few weeks I feel.

So yeah it starts good and ends good, but there's a definite lull in the middle, but like I said their ballads are usually growers.

Steal My Girl.

10/10

Ready To Run.

Such a fun song 8/10

Where Do Broken Hearts Go.

Really upbeat 3rd single please 10/10

18.

Time to slow down and you definitely can hear Ed Sheeran wrote it 8/10

Girl Almighty.

Could be a leftover from Midnight Memories 7/10

Fool's Gold.

Nice ballad 7/10

Night Changes.

Don't know why they choose this as the 2nd single its kinda boring and done before. Not the big Christmas song i hoped for 5/10

No Control.

Another fun song 8/10

Fireproof.

One of the best songs of the album 10/10

Spaces.

Really beautiful stadium ballad 8/10

Stockholm Syndrom.

Such an amazing song 10/10

Clouds.

Perfect closer of the album 9/10

Overall it's a great album, their sound really matured. Vocals were on top and i noticed Liam has not a lot of solos on this album but i might be wrong of course.

I give the album 9/10 would be 10/10 if Night Changes wasn't on the album that song is really this album's Gotta Be You. The video really has to save this song.

Where would you all Rank It?.

Where would you all Rank It?.

If i would rank the albums:

1.Four

2.Up All Night

3. Midnight Memories

4.Take Me Home.

It's too early for me to rank it against their previous efforts and we still need to hear the deluxe tracks!

Well it leaked because some shop in Brazil put the standard on sale thinking the release date was the 7th not the 17th. Going by the pics they didn't put the deluxe on sale.

*Deluxe tracks leak as soon as I post this*

Okay, had a few listens to let it all sink in now, and almost all of the album is absolutely stunning. There's only one dud, but it's *decent* (at best) - 'Girl Almighty' which I'm just not that keen on at all right now. Definitely a much different sound to the previous three albums, but a very welcome change and the whole thing just sounds very 'warm'.

08.5 Steal My Girl

09.0 Ready to Run

11.0 Where Do Broken Hearts Go

10.0 18

07.0 Girl Almighty

09.0 Fool's Gold

10.0 Night Changes

09.5 No Control

10.0 Fireproof

09.0 Spaces

09.0 Stockholm Syndrome

08.5 Clouds

'No Control' would also have been a 10, but everything would turn out to be a 10 then :kink: Obviously it's never going to happen, but the single campaign for this era could be HUGE - there's so many songs in there that seem like they'd go down pretty well and keep selling the album. I'd go with:

1. Steal My Girl

-- album release --

2. Night Changes

3. Where Do Broken Hearts Go

4. Fireproof

5. 18

4 post-album singles is probably a bit much, but that's what you get when they're more focused on touring as opposed to their new material.

I've listened to the standard version 4 times now. I'm really liking it. The production is neat, and their voices have changed massively to a much more aggressive tone.

I think 'Night Changes' and 'No Control' are my favourites. I really like 'Clouds' too. It's a massive departure to what they usually do - so good!

My rank for the album after the first few listens

09.0 Steal My Girl

10.0 Ready to Run

10.0 Where Do Broken Hearts Go

07.5 18

08.5 Girl Almighty

07.0 Fool's Gold

09.0 Night Changes

09.0 No Control

10.0 Fireproof

08.0 Spaces

11.0 Stockholm Syndrome

08.0 Clouds

It is by far and away their most cohesive album yet, the whole flow of it is just wonderful. 'Steal My Girl' is truly brilliant and I'm glad we've got it but it's clear the management were not confident enough to release something like 'Fireproof' or 'Where Do Broken Hearts Go' which would've made for a better representation of the album. As much as one new album a year is nice to get as a fan I really would like to see this album pushed a bit more than the usual Christmas rush/tour their past three campaigns have gone. Although I think we're heading for a Greatest Hits next year anyway.
