February 24, 201411 yr Author The first QUALIFIER from semifinal 1 is... http://i.imgur.com/Sd8PoWe.png http://i.imgur.com/E2l7NQD.png I could have put on a Silas impression and saved my own entry for last, but instead I'm taking the opposite approach and announcing my own 'Return' to the final straight out of the blocks *.* I promise the rest of these results are in a totally random order. Leeds-based electronic duo Paris XY are in BJSC for the first time (but of course, why would Persephonia ever recycle?) and provide Persephonia a third qualifier in a row. The first QUALIFIER from semifinal 2 is... http://i.imgur.com/uAQrjh7.png http://i.imgur.com/PGC4UDI.png The new reptilian regime of the CFKA Terra Avium is continuing to go 'SWIM'mingly as Terra Dinosaur cruise to a second qualification in a row with this track by Brighton indie pop act Fickle Friends. They're another first-time appearance in the contest. It seems suspicious that my random order has picked the song that was track 1 in the semi. Relax, it's just a coincidence.
February 24, 201411 yr putting persephonia down as a dark horse this contest - think it's gonna outdo everyone's already quite good predictions!
February 24, 201411 yr Oh well done Chez! Was thinking that'd get forgotten as the week went along. Would have been an experience to have a host announce themselves as a DNQ but yay Bré.
February 24, 201411 yr Oh you are a hero, Bré  Can just sit back and watch these now for once ^_^
February 24, 201411 yr Author The second QUALIFIER from semifinal 1 is... http://i.imgur.com/dZxJNl0.png http://i.imgur.com/WEEXGlW.png The temptation to rig it so this DNQed was great but unfortunately it's a 'Heartbreak' for anyone who was hoping Betty Boo would miss out on the final for Altyr Muunilinst. The Australian singer-songwriter is in the contest for the second time making Altyr our first recycling hoe to make the final today, though to be fair her first entry ('Somebody Loves You', Sandebörg LI) didn't qualify. Altyr Muunilinst will be hoping for Espen to miss out so they may claim the current record for unbroken string of qualifications for the final (this is their 10th). The second QUALIFIER from semifinal 2 is... http://i.imgur.com/QkqKLud.png http://i.imgur.com/tgFH5Na.png FSR Rontvia almost always qualify and this month is no exception, with this song that I can't think of even a terrible pun for thanks to it not being in English. Something about FSR Rontvia being 'breathless' at its success maybe? It brings their current streak of qualifications to 5 as German singer Helene Fischer makes her contest debut with a qualification (Johnkm is looking bad so far).
February 24, 201411 yr Go FSR! Always love a bit of German pop when it comes along, even if it rarely seems to do for me. Alles ist perfekt, so weit.
February 24, 201411 yr Author The third QUALIFIER from semifinal 1 is... http://i.imgur.com/5JhCItt.png http://i.imgur.com/DlHMrOq.png Kylienips are a BJSC institution, having entered every contest, but have still yet to win. This track from Liverpool producer / singer (?) Låpsley (another contest debutant) has been named as possibly the one to break that duck. It returns Kylienips to the final after missing out last month. If Tinnmark fail to qualify this month, Kylienips will finally lose their unwanted record of 'most DNQs', but if they make it in as well the 'nips will remain 'Station'ary (ugh) at the top of that list. The third QUALIFIER from semifinal 2 is... http://i.imgur.com/c744GwZ.png http://i.imgur.com/5VFytTv.png Allecian make the final once more after missing out last month and not entering the month before that with this track from the awkwardly named indie rock group of Verona (who are not even from Verona, but rather from Los Angeles). They are hoping to make the top 20 for the first time in over a year, having finished between 21 and 30 with their last five qualifiers. This announcement will help them to 'Keep The Faith'! of Verona finished 29th with their previous entry 'Dark In My Imagination' (Florina LVII) though which isn't as encouraging.
