Totally ok (as in, I'm sad if she doesn't get to #1) but are we guessing that GM's pre-orders were more than KMO or is there some site/information that tracks this? I'm honestly surprised he has such a big fan following still!

Just from keeping track of the positions on iTunes and Amazon - as far as I can remember, George has always been ahead.

Kylie not getting to number 1 is bad enough but to be beating by bloody George Michael is awful ( i cant stand his music or him for that matter) hopefully Kylie can claw back the gap on phyisical sales. She is currently number 1 and 25 and itunes.

George is 2 and 20 on iTunes. I can hope that with both being heritage acts, both sales are front loaded but GM's tails off earlier than KM's!

She may be #1 on iTunes at the moment, but it's very likely George Michael is going to overtake. His pre-orders have been much better than Kylie's too. As for Amazon, Kylie maybe #10 but George is #1. :P As much as I would love Kylie to be #1, she's not going to do it.

 

Not a chance of Kylie missing out - she's retained all her old fans, while George's fanbase will be largely a particular demographic nowadays - and incidentally one who also love Kylie too...

Kylie WILL be number one. If George's album wasn't a live one things may be different.

It doesn't feel like there has been any hype whatsoever for this George Michael release.

 

I personally don't have anything against the man and #2 would still be a nice result for her, so what will be will be. I hope she can do it though!

Hopefully Kylie #1, I've seen George's album advertised on TV, sales wise probably around 44k for the week.

I'm straight and have never liked her but this is the first album of hers I'm buying.

Just been in Asda then & George is #1 on their meaningless chart with LOADS of copies on the shelf.

Kylie #2 with only 2 copies of the standard edition.

Whether that means there's been a run on them this morning or they didn't get many in I dunno.

I've just been to Morrisons- Kylie is no 1 and George is NUMBER 14 !!!!!!!!

Kylie's Kiss Me Once is being backed on TV by Sainsbury's and it is also very good promo for Into The Blue too which features heavily on the TV advert!!!!!

 

 

GM is now 1 and 25 whilst KMO is 2 and 18....this looks like it'll be really close. I surely thought Rocnation would do more with the promo, unless they're thinking of staggering it out instead of keeping it front ended like previous album releases?
